Evidence-Based Management Viewpoint

The purpose of chapter two is to present the reader with the different perspectives and viewpoints of evidence-based management. Evidence-based management refers to using logic to make management decisions. The historical and contemporary perspectives make up evidence-based management. The classical, behavioral, quantitative, systems, contingency, and quality management viewpoints compose the historical and contemporary perspectives. The classical viewpoint explains how to boost productivity through the use of the scientific method, the relationship between motion and time, and job specialization.
