Eulogy of Wilhelm Wundt Psychology is the study of a person’s mind and their behavior. The psychologist that I choose was Wilhelm Wundt. Wilhelm Wundt was known as the father of psychologist, he was the first person to do the scientific method including the conclusion, which no scientist has done. He believed in the consciousness, which the state of being awake and aware of one’s surroundings. Wundt discussed with his co-workers of psychology that we should understand consciousness. Wilhelm Wundt was born on August 16, 1832 in Neckarau; Baden. When Wundt was 13, he was sent to the Gymnasium at Bruchal and to the Gymnasium at Heidelberg. Then the American Psychology Association created an award called “Wilhelm Wundt-William James Award for Exceptional Contribution to Trans-Atlantic Psychology.” Wilhelm Wundt and William James have a business relationship. William James was born on January 11, 1842 in New York City. William James believed that the mind was ever changing and once you began to think about
