Ethical Issues and Tactics The ethical issues and tactics that I can think back on is when we had a basketball game and I did not realize it at the time but one of my players was fouled and as I was talking to one of the coaches another player was called to the foul line to shoot free throws and as I turn back around to see the player that was fouled standing at half court, and as I looked at him with a dumb look he shrugged his shoulders to say as if he don’t know. After a couple of times down the floor their was a timeout called and I had to ask the question why were you not shooting the free throws and his response was he walked to the line and they said it was not you who was fouled, …show more content…
If the player that was fouled would have called for my attention I could have made a correction to the official. By making this correction would’ve left the audience thinking that this coach either trust in his player or his values are more than just the game it self that would leads to believe that the ethics of this would be the best move to have made. All the events that took place would not have taken place me turning around to see my player standing at half court and the other player on the foul line, and me not wondering I hope this does not effect the out come of the game. I can leave this game saying that an unethical event never occurred and the game was a success win or lose. And the officials would be stellar at their jobs and the mistake of the officials would have never occurred both sides walked away happy and satisfied with the out come of the game. As I look at this now I can say that this is an ethical morally correct move that all things that happen can be a life changing moments that we can’t get back, but we can look at what we could have made changes that would’ve been for the best thing at the time for
