There was nothing that surprised me about the University Of Phoenix Student Code Of Conduct or the Student Code of Academic Integrity. I feel that it is important to have rules and regulations that are enforced to keep the faculty staff and students safe and also provide us with a safe environment to learn. By insuring that these rules are enforced and imposing strict penalties for those that do not comply with these rules the University of Phoenix sets an example of fairness and equality.

What did you learn about the behaviors considered important for an ethical learner or student in the University of Phoenix learning community?

I learned that the behaviors considered important for an ethical learner or student in the University of Phoenix learning community is that being honest truly is the best policy; being truthful within ourselves and with each other is an important ethical mission; that a disruptive learning environment can make people uncomfortable and hinder our academics. Our different cultures and individualities should not become a factor in how we treat and/or respect each other. Rules are put in place at the University to assure us that we are able to fully become involved in the learning process. Being open-minded and listening to what others have to say is also an important aspect of respect. I learned that the ethical learners behavior deals with us being honest and as well as our character and how we present it to the world. Our behavior as an ethical learner also deals with our values and actions that we show every day.

The Student Code of Conduct and Student Code of Academic Integrity are important to me because they teach University of Phoenix students the act of respect and responsibility. Not only do these things teach students how to become respectable and responsible now, but in their future career fields that they have chosen. The Student Code of Conduct is also important because it gives me as well as the community a clear set of guidelines to follow and abide by. It is important and respectful to follow the code of conduct rules and regulations for yourself and others. Academic integrity is important too because the choices we make along the way will define us and determine the way people around see us as a person.

An appropriate training method that could be used to foster ethical behavior here at SunTrust is the usage of interactive training on our computers. Aggie Code Of Honor

One thing that I greatly appreciated, when I was deciding which univeristy to attend, was how well Texas A&M expressed the Aggie Code of Honor. "Aggies do not lie, cheat, or steal or tolerate those who do." A very simple saying, but one that is heard and seen all around campus. It is tied to the university as much as the word "Howdy". It is great that this motto of academic integrity is already stiched to Texas A&M because its easier for professors and the university to promote academic integrity. Professors and the university need to continue to explicitly preach the Aggie Code of Honor throughout the semester as a reminder for students. Also one thing that students are not knowlegeable of are the consequences of acting acadebmically dishonest.…

What did you learn about the behaviors considered important for an ethical learner or student in the University of Phoenix learning community? I learned that to be an ethical learner requires honesty. We should behave in an ethical manner and make proper choices when doing class work. Cheating and dishonesty should never be accepted even if you’re running behind in school. I also learned that by cheating and taking short cuts can’t get you no were in life today. At the end of the day you are only cheating yourself and building up a poor choice for yourself. Also by cheating you are letting yourself fall in so deep that you’re learning experiences that you are paying for would not work to the ability you want it to go because of how you were cheating yourself through the process.…

I learned that the way that each of us learn and react to different situations, can be from a variety of many different things. For example, our DNA, upbringing, as well as the communities in which we grew up in play a vital role in our decision making process and the ethical choices that we decide to make.
