Essay On President Trump's Ratings
Every presidency has ratings from the people across our nation. Now these ratings are sometimes very good, but they can also be very bad. It all depends on how the American public views the current president’s actions. After all the American people are the ones who helped our president get into office, we have the right to rate them on the job they’re doing.
Now when it comes to President Trump’s ratings, according to: http://money.cnn.com/2017/02/06/media/donald-trump-poll-denialism/index.html, the American people had a ‘44% approval and 53% disapproval of Trump’s job performance.’ Now this is a bit under the average rating for a president on his first month as commander in chief. According to: http://www.gallup.com/poll/121391/Obama-Honeymoon-Continues-Months-Recent-Average.aspx, ‘the historical average presidential job approval rating in all Gallup Polls is 55%.’ Trump is the first president in a long time to not have met the ‘typical honeymoon’ standard.
This comes to me as no surprise, President Trump filled our head with lies and fake promises all throughout his election. President Trump took to social media after finding out about his polls on his travel ban, which only saw 47% of Americans in favor and 53% opposed to

It took Bush until his second term in office—February 9th, to be exact—for him to dip to Trump’s current support among independents.’ This goes to show how much a difference Trump’s presidency has started off to be compared to our past two presidents of the United States. Hopefully President Trump can change his path and get his ratings up, cause although I do not personally care for him, he is still our president and our nation is looking at him for

Harry S. Truman came into the presidency during one of the most turbulent period in American history. Although Truman left office with one of the lowest approval ratings of any president, with the passage of time, his reputation grew. His dedication to decency, honesty, and old-fashioned common sense eventually endeared him in the publics mind. As his daughter later wrote in toward the end of his life, "He is of course, pleased when he hears that one historian or another, or a group of historians, has rated him as one of the right or nine greatest presidents in our history."…

Bush signed a $1.35 trillion tax cut into law. Although the amount falls short of the $1.60 trillion the administration has been seeking, the bill does slash income tax rates across the board and provides for the gradual elimination of the estate tax. American voters did not think that President Bush cared enough about domestic issues. Some say Bush did not "selling" his achievements more successfully and running an inept campaign in 1992. He alienated the more conservative wing of the Republican Party in a variety of ways including breaking his promise not to raise taxes and cutting military…

I think that people thought that Andrew Jackson was such a great president because he was voted by most of the east. He also had a rags to riches story which the people may find interesting. I do not agree that he was as good of a president as the people thought. I think this because he was the type that disliked Native Americans. I do not like the fact that he thought it was a good idea to move all of the Native Americans west.…

This bottom 5 ranking is largely, if not completely, due to the Monica Lewinski scandal that tarnished American’s view of his character, but didn’t affect his popularity. With respect to the nature and public perception of Bill Clinton, he represents a paradoxical dichotomy. On the one hand, Clinton has been known as the most publicly shamed President in modern day history. Yet, oddly enough, he is also hailed as one of the most charismatic and popular presidents in modern day history as well. The decline of Americans’ trust in Clinton began on January 21, 1998, when the story broke about Clinton’s improper sexual relationship with a young female intern at the White House, Monica Lewinsky. Despite polls showing that two-thirds of people believed Clinton lied about the affair, his approval rating improved in 1998. “At the beginning of 1998, Clinton’s job approval rating hovered just above 50%” but by “the end of the year it was approaching 70%, higher than at any previous time in his presidency.” Clinton’s popularity, despite being surrounded by scandal, showed the power of his relatable personality and…

Bill Clinton is remembered as a charismatic leader who paid close attention to public opinion and let it influence his decisions. Around half of Millennials see Bill Clinton as the president who did the best job during their lifetimes and ended his second term with a 66% approval rating. A Sep. 22, 2010 poll conducted by NBC and the Wall Street Journal found that Clinton was more popular than President Obama. Clinton had a 55% approval rating compared to Obama 's 46 percent approval rating. Nevertheless, Clinton 's claims to a lasting, positive legacy for the Democratic Party have been severely undermined by two realities: the shift in control of Congress to the Republican Party on his watch and the loss by his would-be successor,…

If a person were to watch the news, it is very easy to see that many people do not like the new changes in the U.S.. Ever since the election, President Trump has signed multiple different executive orders. Some of the orders that have been signed so far are a notice that the U.S. will begin withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, an order imposing a hiring freeze for some federal government workers as a way to shrink the size of government and, one of the most known, two orders on border security and immigration enforcement including an order authorizing a U.S.-Mexico border wall.…
