Essay On Oppression Against White People

During a time where black men, women, and children are getting shot down in the streets simply for being black, it is important to remember that white people have fallen victim to the damaging effects of systematic oppression as well. Throughout history, the oppression of white people is clear as day. Originally, the Europeans were forced out of their homes to travel across the seas while looting and destroying the resources and lives of the natives inhabiting Americas and pretty much the rest of the world. In the process, they were made to rape and murder said natives, break apart their families and enslave those they deemed worthy enough to live. Truly, the violence and devastation against white people is historic and unparalleled.
If it turns out they were completely innocent…well, it is not like the justice system will do anything about it. This way, the police get to do what they are sworn to — to protect and serve. People should not be allowed to protest the murders of black lives, anyway. They should not be allowed to protest at all. They have no right! However, if they feel really obligated, they should do so in a calm and peaceful manner. (But not in the form of taking a knee during the national anthem. That is disruptive, and violent, and wholly un-American.) So, every time someone says “Black Lives Matter,” remind them that actually, ALL lives matter — the same way you would run through a cancer fundraiser reminding everyone who cares to listen that other diseases are killing people too; or the same way you would crash a stranger’s funeral and tell their loved ones that you have felt loss as well.
