Essay On My Work Experience As A Child Nurse

I have chosen children nursing, because I have the passion to help others. My interest in nursing first developed when a family member had to stay in hospital due to an operation, constant visits to the hospital gave me an insight into the role of child nursing. From personal experience, I believe it is vital for patients to receive the best of care at all times, either if they are emotionally or physically vulnerable. I want to help a child recover and help make a difference in their lives, whether it is after a huge operation or from a minor damage.

My work experience at a nursery gave me the chance to work with a variety of children; I developed observational skills by having a greater understanding of different requirements needed for different children. I helped a child recover from an injured cut, and I also helped to reassure children, as I child nurse I will have to observe patient's constantly by trying to help them recover in the best possible way.
