Essay On My Ap English Teacher
Teachers all learn different ways and all have different teaching abilities. Students all also have a specific way they learn. The two teachers that have made the biggest impact in my life were my AP English teacher Mrs. Fale and my Chemistry teacher Mr. Barrington. They both had great qualities I admired, including; great structure, willingness to help, patience, and kindness. My AP English teacher was understanding and helped me know exactly the format and what I needed to work on for my papers. Mr. Barrington, my Chemistry, on the other hand, loved when we would ask questions and teach our classmates, he was very hands on. Master teachers show technique and the ability to teach almost anyone. I had two phenomenal teachers who exhibited these qualities. They understand the student and are able to help them understand complex things. Jesus Christ our …show more content…
Fale, my AP English teacher is a master teacher because she knows what she is talking about and is able to explain it in a way that everyone understands her. Structure of her lessons was superb and made you think about what you were reading even if you didn’t like it. She was able to help me and others understand complex things in a very simple way. The kindness, patience, and her willingness to help make her an excellent master teacher. Master teachers exhibit those qualities I’ve listed plus more and she was one of the best examples I’ve had so far in my life.
Mr. Barrington, my Chemistry teacher took a bit of time to warm up to because he is a very sarcastic person. He emanated one really interesting quality that sets him apart, he had students teach others who didn’t understand and during labs he only wanted us to rely on our partner. He was very hands-on we played with soap bubble fire one day because he didn’t feel like teaching a lesson or having a lab. Kindness and patience were his two really big rules. Be kind to others in all you do and if you don’t have patience with your experiment will

First I want to tell you with whom I honor, with whom I have, learned to respect, and who deserve the outmost admirations. The teachers I am talking about work hard to do a great job, because, above all, it is a kind of responsibility so to speak towards their students and relevantly toward themselves. I have had several teachers in my years as a student both in the primary and secondary schools among which there were only few whom I felt to fit the description above, maybe most of them were good in their own way, but one cannot be sufficient in all ways or I may also have misunderstood them. However, the teacher that I chose as deserving of the “My Favorite Teacher” earned this title due to the care she showed to each of her students through her teaching, personality, and the all the fun had in her class is Ms. Fleming my writing teacher. Ms. Fleming is an open minded, caring person who seemed to love what she is doing. Ms. Fleming is more than a teacher to me; she is a person you could go to with a problem and she would try and help you find the answer. She would help you, but expected you to put the work into finding out for yourself how to do something. She always came across as someone who cared about every student as if they were her “children”. Ms. Fleming is like a book that gives you the right information that would help you on getting a six on the FCAT writing. About 95% of her student’s agree that Ms. Fleming spent each day preparing us for the FCAT writing in thirteen days. The first time I walked into the classroom I notice a flaming red headed teacher sitting down. I thought that she would be a boring, and mean teacher giving her student’s a lot of homework and essays to write. Every word that comes out of her mouth sounds like music to my brain. When it comes to teaching she doesn’t let out a lot of stress, most of the stress comes from whether or not her student’s would receive a four or higher on the FCAT writing. When I’m in class Ms. Fleming have…

What grade were you in? The teacher I choose to write about is a High School educator whose name is Mrs. Wright. I had her from my sophomore through my senior year. She was the resource teacher for these grades. I have test anxiety, have has it since I was a young child, and she could get me through without having a panic attack or having to go to the ladies room to puck. This woman was always there to support me while I work through the good and tough times in school no matter what it was. A kindhearted woman, that truly cared, no matter who you were, and what problem you may be facing. She always put a smile on your face and happiness in your heart. She always assisted me when I needed it or if I did not grasp something, she would make…

The second teacher I observed had the characteristics I think I will have when I become a teacher. One was that he stood at the door of the gym and greeted all the students as they came in class. This may not seem much to some but I thought it was amazing. He also started class immediately. He did not believe in wasting time. He also expected a lot from his students that why I think that he made the boys run when they begin to get disruptive. That was also another effective teaching trait which was discipline. He did believe in disciplining the students when they got out of hand. He clearly had some rules established and when the students broke them they had to pay the consequences. One last effective trait this teacher possessed was his credibility. When I went into his office it was like walking into a mini hall of fame. He had all kind of pictures and trophies up from when he was a athlete. He displayed all his award proudly and with pride. I think this is effective because it could influence one of his students to become a teacher one day.…

Over the course of my years of schooling I have had many teachers. I’ve had some of the best such as my fifth grade teacher, Mr. Moore, who taught me how to learn math, my eighth grade science teacher, Mrs. Turner, who taught me to have fun in school, but still be serious, my tenth grade chemistry teacher, Mrs. Huggins, who made class hard also made it enjoyable at the same time. The best teacher I have ever had thought taught me one of the most important things in life, how to write. She may not have been the nicest lady as she gave me my first detention in ten years of school. (To this day it was still my only detention) Her class was the second hardest class I ever had in my four years of high school; the only thing harder was AP psychology,…

An outstanding teacher is an educator who recognizes that their students are unique, which different sets of strengths and weaknesses, and adapts their teaching style to best meet their students’ needs on a personal level. Have you ever had One of those teacher’s? Do you know the type I mean? That amazing teacher who always went the extra mile to help you figure out the solution to the tough problems, or even the one who always seemed to make the problems that much tougher just to mess with you. In my experiences I have had both, and if I were to choose the type of teacher that had to teach my children I would want the teacher who went the extra mile. The teacher who believes that all students have the ability to succeed and become members of the elite. The teacher who helps students to learn to think for themselves not just act like parrots and repeat the information verbatim. Teachers who teach hands on and get the students interested…

Teaching is one vocation that is hard to define if you look it up in the Oxford English dictionary a Teacher is defined as “A person who teaches, especially in a school”. This definition is very vague and leaves a lot of room for expansion on what a teacher actually is, on the other end of the scale Albert Einstein said “It is the supreme art of the Teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge” This quote gives more of an insight into what effective Teaching may be.…

Everyone has that one teacher that they admired so much or made an enormous difference in their life. My teacher would have to be my high school orchestra teacher; his name is mr----. He helped me become a much better musician. Whenever I was struggling with a piece of music, he would take his time to help me in that section. With all his help, I became such a good player that I was placed as first chair for two years in a row! Of course, being first chair and all, you have to be a good leader to lead the section. At first, it was something that I struggled with, but Mr. Carpenter helped me do that as well by telling me how to handle many different situations.…

By far, one of the best teachers I have ever had in all of my years of school, has been my eighth grade English teacher, Mrs. Dunlap. Before I had her class, I enjoyed English, and I enjoyed reading, but I still had struggles with it, and I was not that passionate about it. All of that changed, however, when Mrs. Dunlap was my English teacher. She was someone who truly cared about the subject that they taught- She was invested in every single piece of literature that she taught us, she explained grammar in a way that made it fun (For me, at least), and she was attentive to the learning needs of each and every student.…

A good teacher attempts to use all types of learning styles in order to reach out to all types of learners. All students learn at different paces, and work better with some learning styles rather than others. I feel that teachers that have good relationships with their students and get down to their level will be very successful. I also feel the teachers have to be respectful towards the students and vice versa. Having a good communication with the parents is also something teachers need to have. A good teacher will enjoy working with…
