The central concept of my outside source, MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), is to teach the audience that they should think about their decision multiple times before taking action because once they make the big jump, an obstacle appears in their way and they become trapped. All different scenarios end up traveling towards them, not having a clue as to what just happened and how to come out of that problem. Whenever people are making certain choices and they are in doubt about the costs of them, they shouldn’t even dare to take any chances because not only they are putting themselves in risk of danger, but they are going to end up harming individuals all around them as well. The argument is clear that families that are related to victims that were injured by other people should receive some type of assistance to their needs. As facts and statistics are concerned, they provide this information based on real world scenarios as their evidence to back up their argument. They accomplish this by mentioning about drunk driving in general, where it took place, young people that were involved in accidents, the costs of impairment, and the amount of arrests that took place that involved individuals driving under the influence. The main idea behind my outside source is that the MADD campaign (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) are attempting to prevent drunk driving crimes from happening and recognizing the young victims that are affected by it. On top of that, they are also working on brainstorming different types of plans to reduce underage drinking in order for car accidents to not occur and save more lives. In order for this plan to work, they are seeking for volunteers and staff members to help them increase the power of competency so people can communicate to each other about how to put an end to this
