Essay On Driving Vs Winter
In states when the season winter has finally come people tend drive slower than summer because the roads are more likely to cause accidents since they’re so wet from the rain and snow. Drivers must avoid closeness between cars in case one individual on the road needs to break quickly. Also, snow can build up to be so high that it causes roads to be closed up to days or weeks. When it begins to drizzle and snow comes faster, drivers will highly find the need to use the wipers from the windshield. When snow increases by the time the sun goes down and becomes difficult to see roads, drives will most likely turn the emergency bright light that is located on the headlights up towards the front of the car. Driving in summertime is a lot different from winter. Many say it’s easier than driving in snow. At this time many people rather have their air conditioner inside their automobile or some enjoy having their windows down or the sunroof. Unlike during winter drivers are usually unafraid to be on the speed limit without worrying about swerving off the road because of the icy roads. In severe situations when roads become too snowy, this issue will not allow anyone to drive. And when there is no driving? That means no one can go to school/work, this becomes frustrating to some citizens because it steals away time, …show more content…

Also, during both seasons drives must give the same attention as usual on the road. During winter and summer both require following the speed limits as a state law, following speed limits has nothing to do whether it’s boiling outside or snowy. So as overall, driving during the summer and winter do share some similar points together although they have many differences put

Speeding was a factor in 53 percent of fatal crashes that occurred when there was snow or slush on the road and in 60 percent of those that happened in icy roads. Even rain can be dangerous. Going down the interstate at 80 mph while it's pouring down rain so hard you can barely see in front of you is definitely not a good idea. Speed reduces the amount of available time needed to avoid a crash, increases the likelihood of crashing and increases the severity of a crash once it occurs. The public needs to be made more aware of the dangers of speeding. If we are to combat this dangerous, life-threatening behavior, we must devote increased resources to better enforcement, including more law enforcement officers to patrol the highways, and we must support technological advances, such as video cameras (also known as "photo radar"), to target aggressive, speeding…

Because teen drivers are not experienced on the roadways, their commute to school poses a danger. "The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that 1,717 drivers between the ages of 15 and 20 died in motor vehicle crashes in 2014, up 1.2 percent from 1,697 in 2013. An additional 170,000 young drivers were injured in 2014" ("Teen"). This is an alarming number. This number has the potential to decrease if students were not allowed to drive to school. When the weather conditions are bad, it is even more dangerous for inexperienced teens to drive to school. In my high school, just…

As, after the weekends especially after a long weekend, most of the drivers wake up late and then they try to fly through the roads, driving during busy hours is like driving in a video game. On the contrary, the first big difference between summer and winter is the most obvious one: the weather. In the summer time, it is usually warm and sunny and pleasurable to be outside. I can go swimming, go to the beach, sun bathe, go boating, and all of those fun summer activities everyone looks forward to. In the wintertime, most people think of coldness, but I can still find opportunities to have excitement. The activities are very different; in the winter, I can go ice skating, sledding, and skiing. In the snowy weather I hear a lot about car accidents due to the messy…
