Essay On Being Thankful
To show how I'm thankful, I am throwing an art themed party. I chose this theme because I'm thankful for God, and he gave me, and famous artists, the talent to enjoy art and to create it. I am especially thankful for that because even though I may not be so good at art, I still enjoy it. Some people aren't so grateful, even if they are amazing. I will be inviting Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso. I am inviting them because I am being thankful for art and all four artists are very gifted in that subject.

I am thankful for many different things, so I am showing I in many different ways. One of the ways that I am showing that I am thankful for different things is through different games. One game that we are going to play is euchre because I play that game with my dad all of the time. I like playing that game with my dad and my siblings. That is a really fun game that I play with my family and I love my family, and I am very thankful for them. The other game that we are going to play is a scavenger hunt and we find all the little things that I am thankful for. Some things that they will have to find include: a stuffed dog because of my love for dogs, paint brushes, an All Time Low cd, paint, colored pens, colored sharpies, a friendship necklace, the book A Night Divided by Jennifer A. Nielson, a basketball, and a locket with a picture of my family in it. Another way that I am showing how I am thankful for different things is through decorations. The

    Glory Essay

At the beginning of the movie “Glory” there is an obvious segregation between whites and blacks, captain Shaw seemed to be of the vast minority that treated African American’s with some sort of decency. Shaw was hard on his men but only because he wanted them to be great soldiers. The overall attitude towards African American’s is what you would expect from the time. Most white men look at themselves as far superior as the black men. Even though the African Americans have volunteered to risk their lives as soldiers, they still all feel basically as slaves and tread lightly around officers. Captain Shaw along with the rest of the white men in the camp have a hard time relating at all to the black men because of how different their lives were up to that point.. Captain Shaw believes highly in treating all men equally, unlike the rest of his white counterparts.…

America faced serious troubles as so many families were affected by the great loss of life during the war effort. In his V-E Day proclamation, President Truman called for every American to join together, regardless of their personal God, in a day of prayer for all those affected. And thanking God for delivering victory over tyranny, in Europe, to the Allied Forces. He also asked that they pray for safety as the war in the pacific still raged on (Obama; “V-E Day”). After Truman’s call to action, we see a resounding answer as Americans rise to give thanks to a God for helping them overcome great adversity. Through the adversities of the Fascist movement and a war fighting said movement, Europe had not seen peace in years. V-E Day, however, would…

The Lord is a very generous and loving God. We, as followers and believers of Christ, should be thankful for everything He does. Many people in the world are not thankful for all the things the Lord does for them. They tend to complain about their life and worry about what they do not have rather than think about all the things they are privileged to have. People worry too much about who has the best phone, or car, or house, etc. and they do not focus on what is really important, which is their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is very easy to think of all the things we do not have and be unthankful. We can be jealous and covetous.
