Essay On Baseball To Me

A year ago today, I wrote an essay about what the game of a baseball had taught me and the opportunities the game brought to my life. It was written from the point of view of a kid who was going to college as a student-athlete, with aspirations of playing the game professionally. Today however, I am writing this essay with a different dream in mind, and rather reflecting upon the past, I find myself looking towards the future. I dream that I get to go to a school that I love and graduate with a truly valuable degree. I dream of raising money so that I can start and run my own business. I dream of creating, innovating and learning every day of my life, so that I can have a real impact, but why do I want to transfer? In short, I got surgery on my shoulder, which is prohibiting me from participating in this years baseball season. This initially had me feeling miserable, however it slowly turned itself into one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I started to get involved with my school by attending various lectures, joining Enactus and becoming a potential new member in a fraternity. Moreover, I began feeding my autodidact personality, which led me to buy a book on the essentials of French, as well as how to write a screenplay; the screenplay is still in the developing stages. I told them I did not want to play baseball anymore and they asked me an essential question, “Would you be at Florida Southern College if you didn’t play baseball?”. Immediately I answered, “No”. Florida Southern College is nice school. The weather is great, the campus is beautiful and the people are kind.However, I cannot help but feel that I can do better. I want to go to college with students who share a similar ambition and commitment to their education as I do, and at the same time are able to have a great deal of memorable experiences during their college
