Campus news:
The gun politic in the US is a hot subject now that twenty students has got shoot down and killed. The gun politics can be discussed for so many angles, in US it’s almost like stealing your freedom for some people, they think they should have their own opportunity to help themselves if someone breaks into their house or when someone is following in them home from work late at night. But why do you need the police if they can’t safe you, and the problem wouldn’t be there if we got a rid of all the guns in the homes. It’s really just should not have the chance to buy a gun if you are former prisoner at least for the first few years after being released, or you should go through some sort of test and get a certificate that says you are allowed to have guns for hunting or in your house. Clearly this form for gun control is not getting us anywhere but digging our own grave, I mean it’s hard just going to school without being afraid of getting gunned down by someone that doesn’t like their own life and it’s everyone else fault. Obama will not have armed security in public schools, and have armed security in his children’s school, some might say it’s double standards, but come on it’s the president’s kids and not just “normal” kids they need more security than normal kids, and isn’t it the wrong answer to protect people from guns and killing each other to think that we should get more guns? I don’t follow the fact that everybody should have the same level of protection that the government has? Isn’t it they government that should help you when you are afraid and when someone is shooting other people. Trained forces like the police and the US army are trained to help other, and they have to leave they gun at the office or at the army so they don’t get the chance to snap, and go shoot someone. There are many things that plays in because American’s are so stubborn, and we want to feel safe and that’s just human we grow up knowing our momma is there for us every time we are scared of monster under the bed, never take candy from strangers or not let strangers into our homes. How are these simple rules not enough either, don’t let someone you don’t trust into your home. I know “what about all the school shootings?” again if u get metal detectors in the hardest community with most violence and gun criminality, and don’t let people buy them so easily problem solved. Not solved but that’s a start putting more guns in society is a frightening thought, now there is more guns in US than people with that fact, I would be scared just leaving the house. Ghandi one’s said “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” isn’t what we are doing not just to our enemy, but to each other. Clearly there are positive sites to it, we do hear stories from now to then that a family father saved him and his family when some robbers going to robe their house and pointing guns at them, and the father finds his gun and shoots him, but either way someone is getting hurt, but clearly people are buying all these guns to feel more safe, and I think it’s working for a while until we hear that someone just killed twenty people in a school, and then the good old riffle is being replaced with some worse form of firearm. I think we need to start getting society more safe without everyone owning a gun. Do I think that guns should be non-existing in the society “no it shouldn’t” but it should be harder to get firearms, showing clean record is not the way either, usually when someone is making a massacre in a school it’s not a someone who hasn’t got clean record, but someone that just having been treated right I think we should help the society that way by helping each other with their mental issues instead of letting them get to a stage in life where the only opportunity for them is shooting everyone. Gun politics and firearms is being such a big subject, and I’m glad that I’m not the president, because I made some ideas for what we could do and it’s just wishful thinking, but it’s really a big issue that’s not just being solved in one day or one year. Fact is the thing we got going right now isn’t working, and something has to be done, but what is the big question, but something must be done!

Gun control is a controversial and divisive issue in our routine life, not only in the United States, but also all over the world. Basically, gun control refers to governmental efforts to limit or restrict the production, sale, possession and use of guns by private citizens. Some people believe that it is necessary that federal and state laws allow citizens to purchase and possess guns, or even actively require adult citizens to maintain weapons in their house, and periodically to train in their use. However, others think gun control is indispensable in our society because gunshots are the main cause of death in the United States. As for me, I prefer to support the second view because guns are lethal and the fewer people that have them the better. The only function of a gun is to kill. The more instruments of death are removed from our society, the safer we will be. With my research, I found a lot of striking data about guns menacing people’s lives. There should be gun control in the United States because guns are a menace to people’s lives.…

Gun control has been an ongoing issue in the United States for the past few years due to the increase of gun related deaths such as school and mass shootings. There have been debates on whether to eradicate firearms from Americans. These ideas were addressed by the United States government and gun control advocates who are for stricter gun control. On the other hand, people who oppose the policy feel that their 2nd amendment rights will be violated just because there are reoccurring school and mass shooting that are being committed by what are perceived as mentally unstable individuals. This essay will examine the perspectives of both sides of gun control and the mental state of the suspects of the attacks.…

A gun control law is any law that restricts the use, purchase, or possession of any firearms (Conservapedia). These laws are implemented to reduce the use of firearms to authorized members of a state’s government. Each state in America has its own laws regarding gun control; however, among all, California has the strongest laws, scoring 81 out of a 100 (O’Mara). Gun control laws are necessary in a state because they decrease violence, increase government’s protection in the state, and decrease the lethalness of other crimes.…

Did you know that in the United States almost 100,000 people are shot or killed with a gun in one year? Ten thousand, five hundred and twenty-seven people die a year in handgun related incidents in the United States. This number, by far, outweighs the number of gun related deaths in countries such as Sweden, Great Britain, and Japan, which number thirteen, twenty-two, and eighty-seven, respectively. What is the reason for such drastic differences in numbers? Sweden, Great Britain, and Japan are all countries that have stricter gun control laws than the US. Mind you, these are just the number of deaths caused by handgun related incidents; however, that isn’t counting the thousands of deaths caused by other types of firearms; in one year, around thirty-thousand Americans die in gun violence. If the US adopted stricter gun control laws, the number of deaths would drop accordingly. Restricting the right to bear arms will undoubtedly make any community safer.…

Gun Control is when you keep firearms of any type, including handguns, High power rifles and even low caliber hunting rifles such as a .22 long rifle away from people. Many people think that gun control is the right way to go because they think keeping guns away from people will lower the death rate of people by guns. Also, just whenever people hear the word gun, the thoughts of violence and negativity pop into the heads of many people, myself included, think gun control is wrong because we know that it is not necessary, since we know that guns were not involved in a large percentage of deaths caused each year. While many other people disagree and think that a law will keep guns out of people's hands and keep them safer. All laws do is keep…

The United States is in a controversy of whether or not the Second Amendment is protecting our country or killing it. The United States owns approximately 250 million guns, nearly one for each citizen, and grows about 7 million each year. Experts believe that the Second Amendment in the Constitution is rational and legal, author of, Handgun Prohibition and the Original Meaning of the Second Amendment Don B. Kates states that the “Second Amendment protects an individual's right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that weapon for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home; however, they do not say that you can go around shooting people and claiming that you are protected by the Second Amendment. According to CNN news, the Second Amendment is loosely written, holding loop holes that others seem to find, such as Benjamin Ferguson, who bought a silencer which “falls into the same category of Tiltle II weapons as rockets and machine guns” (Bordeaux).Which provide some serious problems within the people and government of the United States.…

Gun control has gotten way out of hand, the United States have been changing the firearm policy for over a century now. The very first push to change the Firearm policy was in the 1930’s from the Roosevelt administration which resulted two new laws. There was also a second attempt to make changes again to the firearm policy. John and Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King were assassinated which resulted a huge conflict on the Firearm Policy, their deaths proceeded the Gun Control Act of 1968. The act was too weak, the people had the Firearms Protection Act of 1986 on their side which concluded the Gun Control Act of 1986 to not work. The Clinton administration came into office and created the Brady Act, there were background checks on people…
