Essay: Football Injury
My best friend Alexander is a football player in his third year of playing on the varsity team. Watching his games gets me very anxious not because of how good the team is playing, but because of how many times they tackle him when he has the ball. Alexander’s cousin got a scholarship to UCLA for football, but recently lost his scholarship because of a severe injury. I fear that something far worse could happen to Alexander than just an injury to the bone but an injury to the head. I did my research on drastic injuries that may occur when playing football, and found concussions being the most major one. Although football is a popular sport watched by millions, multiple players are injured and their career is ended or put on temporary recovery.
