Parents always wanted their children to receive better lives than they do, they work hard, trying to give their next generation the best they get. It’s impossible for parents to watch their young adult children, whom should have been economically independent, suffer from pressure or depression of life and would thus take care of their life expenses when they are victims of the high unemployment rate due to globalization.…
Generational poverty involves special population of poor people. It is cycle of poverty wherein two to three generations were born and lived in poverty. Complex factors are involved that hinders them from striving to attain advantages that other groups may enjoy. People in generation poverty focus on survival and live in the now. They do not plan because they live in the present time and do not plan for the future. They live on day to day survival and live in the moment. Any situation that they are exposed to is met with a reactive mentality. This leads to lack of organization and planning their life and their family’s life for proactive living.…

of socioeconomic status, education and race experienced by children and young adults which most importantly is developed by the way society treats us daily. Specifically, in the article “Does inadequate housing Perpetuate Children’s Poverty?” by Sheridan Bartlett it was explained that housing inadequacies affects both children and families both directly and indirectly because it limits life opportunities. Leading to it affecting children in their current living environment and future as well. Parents earning a minimum wage affects children and their families all together because that leads them to not have enough money for food or any other needs but only for the rent. Which…

The thought of returning to a full life after my burn injury was one that stood taller than a mountain. I will forever possess sincere feelings for those who were there supporting and guiding me in my recovery from friends, doctors, nurses, and family. As I returned home from the hospital the front door to our house resembled a revolving door with friends and family constantly coming and going. The teachers from my high school personally called me to express their love and care, one even offered to bring a web cam into her classroom so I would not fall behind on the material! The sheer support and constant uplifting made my month long journey of home recovery fly by.…
My dream home would be located in the Caribbean along the beaches of Jamaica with a panoramic view of the ocean. The house would be pretty big but not to big that you would get lost in it. I would want to have a four car garage to store all of my luxury transportation. Even with the ocean steps away I would still like to have an indoor pool, bowling alley and a basketball court.…

I agree and believe with all my heart and soul in this quote by Benjamin Franklin. A house becomes a home as you live in it and begin to add your own personal touch. It becomes a home when you begin making memories and add life to it. Although a home is not always a safe haven for people, this reminds us that life without a safe and nurturing home can have crucial ramifications for health and well-being. A home should be a place where your family and loved ones can help you make sense of life when life becomes chaotic and complicated. A place where you know your troubles are swept away. “A home is where the heart is!”…
Our parents have raised us, so we have been with them for majority of our lives. They helped to develop our basic knowledge like, your religion, manners, background and basic school learning. Some parents keep helping their child throughout his or her education in every way they can. Parents also share their life experiences and want you to learn from their depressing times so you don’t go through them in your life either. They help their child in any subject he is struggling or wants to learn more about such as, math. While others choose to let them be and make their own choices, but still our parents are people who will support us through our life no matter what happens. Our parents are one of the best sources for learning.…

Home has many different meanings. Not every house is a home. When I was younger my dad built a tree house on a piece of land we own that is two lots away from our house. During the time he was building it I was reading “The Boxcar Children” by Gertrude Chandler and I loved the idea of living off of what a person could find. I got the idea from those books to try to stay at my tree house for an entire day without going home. I tried a few times but I always ended up back at my house because I became bored. I learned that to make a house, in this case a tree house, a home, my family has to be present. I no longer wanted to live by myself in my tree house. I did not learn the value of family at that age but I did know there was something special…
