There are many reasons why people drink. There are also many reasons why individuals’ think they can drive after they have been drinking. No one ever think’s that the cause of their drinking can have effects. During the seconds of making the selfish decision to pick up the keys and get behind the wheel, no one thinks about the effect. Thousands of question are asked, and thousands of excuses are being given. No answer is ever good enough to family or friends who lost someone. They now feel like they have no reason to live. They have been effected by an intoxicated person who chose to get in a car and drive. Drinking is something that many people do at social events. Some even drink alone. These are things that would have been noticeable if they were sober. Someone who has drove this road 100 times and know where every stop sign and curve is. Since they are highly intoxicated everything is blur and has now hit an oncoming car. Now having to deal with the guilt and the effects caused by drinking and deciding to get in a car and drive. A family now has to go through pain, all because of a selfish mistake. This is the effect of drinking and driving. As you can see, drinking and driving causes many problems, it also has many effects.
