Twilight is the first out of many films in the Twilight saga. The main characters are Bella Swan, played by Kristen Steward, and Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson. Twilight is a tragic love story packed with action. The film takes places in Forks, Washington, in a small town. It is more then a love story, it is filled with interesting aspects, such as The Cullen family being vampires. This throws a twist on the classic love story. It is truly a film that has something for everyone to watch. Bella’s mom has to travel with her husband, making Bella move in with her father, Charlie, who is the chief in Forks. She has to attend Forks High School, were she meets Edward and slowly falls in love with him. She later finds out Edward, and his family is vampires. But they are good vampires. The Cullen Family are vegetarian vampires, this means they eat animals, not humans. While hanging out with the Cullen Family one day, her sent catches the attention of another vampire. His name is James. James quickly becomes obsessed with her. With her life in danger, the Cullen family tries to protect her. James lures Bella Swan into her old dance studio, by threatening to kill her mother. Bella is too stubborn and goes after James by herself. James attacks her, nearly killing her. Edward finds her and saves her life. They promise to be together forever. Twilight is an amazing love story. They go through so many obstacles at such a young age, and have so many differences. Some how they manage to stay together. The director did an amazing job. Also the special effects are done perfectly, especially when the vampires run, It does not look fake. It is tastefully done. The music is perfect for every scene, and catchy. The best song, and best scene in the movie is at the end, when Edward and Bella are dancing at prom. This movie was put together almost perfectly. The only thing that should be changed is Kristen Stewart playing Bella Swan. Although the rest

In the end, I still think it’s worth reading. Sure it’s a big book, and has over 500 pages, but It’s worth it. When Bella was trying to avoid celebrating her birthday, I think she should have just lived with it. Sure, she was technically older than Edward by a year, but that’s not a bad thing. When Edward and his family left town, I felt bad for Bella. The one person who made Forks feel completely different to her was gone. The one person she loved more than her parents was gone. When she became depressed, I was feeling sympathetic. When she found the 2 beat up motorcycles and took them to Jacob, I saw a turning point in her depression. A positive one no doubt. Once Jacob finished the bikes and took Bella out for riding lessons, I knew something was different about her. When she encountered Laurent in the meadow, I knew things were changing rapidly at that very point. Because that’s when she first saw the werewolves. When Jacob tried to jog Belle's memory involving his family legends, I remembered that was a reference to a scene in the previous book. Later on when Bella meets Emily, Emily calls Bella the “vampire girl” and Bella calls Emily the “wolf girl.” I’m thinking that was meant to be a joke. When Bella jumps off the cliff, I can see why others were saying she tried to kill herself. Who wouldn’t come to that conclusion right away? When I read that Harry Clearwater had a heart attack, I felt bad for his widowed wife…

After watching a few commercials from this year’s Super Bowl Football game, the one that caught my eye the most was the 2012 Chevy Silverado Apocalypse. It was humorous, creative, and got the point across to the audience. Compared to the other commercials of this year’s Super Bowl those were the qualities that stuck out more so. The commercial effective with the way it played out and was well set up.…

Donald Halls’ “A Hundred Thousand Straightened Nails” is a symbolic presentation of the decay of New Hampshire the author uses the life of Washington Woodward to show the pointless existence that is experienced in a place as lifeless as New Hampshire. He uses the contrast of his own opinion and the beliefs of Woodward to show how after a while it is impossible to escape a pointless mindset. Washington finds joy in discarded relics such as old nails, and wood, and finds simple joy in simple life. He settled on life, in his lifeless town and spent his life with his animals, his stories, his beliefs and his box of “A Hundred Thousand Straightened Nails.”(Hall)…

As someone not overly tolerant of military conflict, in light of the divisive war in Iraq and considering the unpopular nature of the Vietnam War in U.S. society; I decided to choose Tim O'Brien's account of combat in Vietnam in "The Things They Carried." I found outside commentary on this story by searching for reviews and analyses of the work on EBSCO Host, the university research database. I also surveyed the commentaries in The Story and Its Writer to add substance to my own analysis of the story. The most useful sources were the more scholarly ones that came from EBSCO host in journals like Critique and the Explicator.…

My first reason why I liked it was because of the change moments. I liked their change of scenery and how the actors jumped right into the scene once it changed. For example, It went from a scene with Rapunzel in the tower to Little Red Riding Hood, and so on. They also used Another change was that some actors played both parts.…

When I first sat down to watch this movie I thought it was going to be another boring love story movie. I was very wrong. I was expecting a copycat movie, I was expecting bad scripts and I was expecting bad acting. Instead, there was a mixture of genres. One minute it was romantic and lovey dovey and the next minute bam! There were swords and action scenes on the screen.…

In all honesty, I didn't think I'd enjoy the book as much as I did. I'd heard of it a lot, mainly from female readers around my age. Being a huge fan of fantasy or sci-fi filled swashbuckling action, I didn't think a romantic story set in to a semi-gothic vampire setting would appeal to me, especially since the author took the liberty of practically re-defining the vampire race. So I was a bit surprised by how I quite literally couldn't put the book down. The plot, if a bit slow at first, was incredibly captivating, and I found myself yearning to know what was going to happen next.…
