Do people accomplish more when they are allowed to do things in their own way?
More and more opportunities are being created since people have realized that they can do anything in their own. And there is no doubt that at times anyone may be shy and fed up with work. But some people think that individuals can do well when they do things themselves. But i do not support this statement. First of all, of course it depends on person. Some people might feel shyness and cannot be able to perform simple things in front of public. While, others cannot do well without supervision. But in my point of view, under pressure and control people can do their best. Take for example, SAT test. In writing section of this text you have to write an essay in 25 minutes, while in IELTS you are allowed to write it in 40 minutes. In the beginning, you may consider it as an impossible thing like I did. But now I think it is possible for me and I can handle this despite all boundaries. Secondly, when people get freedom to do somethimg, they also get a lazy. They think it is not so reqiured or compulsory. For instance, every student is tend to prepare only right before the exams. Because of that almost half of them get fail. To conclude, after having analysed the issue, however there some poeple who likely to do more things lonely, the majority of them prefer to be controlled and supervised and they perform more efficient work.

“...If you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires.” In the book 'outliers' by Malcolm Gladwell, Gladwell States that there is no such thing as a self made person. That if you succeed in life it depends on who you are and where you came from. I disagree with this statement for the reason that, although this may be occasionally correct, mostly it isn’t true . There are many people who have created success for themselves and are famous now. Such as Jim Carrey and Tyler Perry.…

The voyages of discovery and of the new world were promoted by many factors economically, technologically, politically, and religiously. In the years from about 1450 to 1525 there were many reasons as to why explorations were aided by the main four factors that were previously stated. Advancements in astronomy and navigation were big technological factors. Countries were gaining little income, causing them to go and search for ways to become prosperous was an economic factor. The marriage of Ferdinand and Isabella that unified Castile and Aragon was a major political factor. The desire for Christianizing people of the new world was a huge religious factor. All of these factors were a cause of, and motivated, European exploration.…

I also believe that people differ in the amount of free will they have. The predetermined factors are generally the same for everyone, but the free choices are different. This is because people choose to let certain factors limit them, and others do not. If someone cares whether others judge him or her, they are less likely to decide to do something they really want if it is…

. .” and “. . . imitation is suicide . . .”. Truly accepting oneself is the first step to finding satisfaction, happiness, and potentially changing the world. Until one realizes their own worth and embraces their talents, they will forever remain in the shadows of others’ successes. Listening to one’s intuition and avoiding selfism leads to proper behavior and morally sound decisions. When a person fails to hear their intuition, they succumb to the knowledge and behavior of the people around them. Change and reform are impossible without people who challenge the status quo. According to Emerson, “You will always find those who think they know what is your duty better than you know it” (“Self-Reliance”). No one can control the life of another person; only the other person knows the decisions they must make in order to follow their heart and better themselves. People will insult, ridicule, and scoff at those who think and act differently, but…

In recent discussions of the “Mindset” and “Think Differently”, a controversial issue has been raised. On one hand, Carol Dweck argues that working hard, challenging yourself and think positive, will help us succeed. On the other hand, Ken Robinson remind us that not all of us are great in academically, but are gifted in some other ways. My own view is that many people have different ways of approaching of how to become successful, whereas on the other hand, not everyone has the potential of becoming successful. I think that if we have the mindset of being positive, great personality, good aptitude and not taking anything for granted, we will succeed in life.…

    Self-Reliance In America

Emerson once said, “Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Nothing can bring you peace but the triumph of principles.” American society is a difficult place for individuals to express themselves openly without fear of rejection, reaction, and reevaluation. One cannot find self reliance and also be a member of society. Today’s society frowns upon the idea of being selfish. Taking time to be alone and better one’s self is not selfish. Self reliance and self confidence with one’s self is the same concept. It is hard not to compare to another person. Self reliance is accomplished when one trusts their own powers and resources rather than those of others. It is impossible to obtain self reliance in today’s society because it is a process that…

dkslsEmerson's "Self-Reliance" teaches us to trust ourselves. By ourselves, we have unique voices and opinions, which society shuts down as soon as we confront other people and the group. Society's primary concern is creating wealth and status, while the individual's concern is self-expression and fulfillment. We want to take life slow, savor every moment, express ourselves, and explore many talents and skills. Society wants us to be big shots, put all our education towards one career, weed out our competitors to become successful, and make more money than we could ever need. But since society's goal's are so engrained inside us, we must learn to trust our own instincts as to what society tells us.…

P; istory 's great achievers - a Napoleon, a da Vinci, a Mozart - have always managed themselves. That, in large measure, is what makes them great achievers. But they are rare exceptions, so unusual both in their talents and their accomplishments as to be considered outside the boundaries of ordinary human existence. Now, most of us, even those of us with modest endowments, will have to learn to manage ourselves. We will have to learn to develop ourselves. We will have to place ourselves where we can make the greatest contribution. And we will have to stay mentally alert and engaged during a 50-year working life, which means knowing how and when to change the work we do.…

By doing it their way, these people have had a significant influence on our world today.…

Many people want to leave alone without making friend with the others. They just want to study alone, eat alone or even working alone. Sometimes, they don’t feel good to working as a group, so they decide to working by themselves. On the other hand, they should ask a person who they can trust such as family, teacher or friend to give them the best advice for their decision. In my opinion, I agree that a person should never make an important decision alone such as study, work, and friend.…
