Need analysis for ERP system is vital for success. Organizations that perform proper analysis and determine the need for such a complex and high investment decision tend to achieve better results than organizations that do not.
For establishing the need for ERP systems, organizations must perform strategic / competitive analysis and ensure that the proposed ERP system aligns with the mission, goals and strategies of the organization.

When the organisations do not perform need analysis or do it unsystematically; and decides to go for ERP systems by investing huge amount of
Money and other resources. The return from the system are far below the expectations or not able to complete due to unforeseen circumstances, prove to be failure.
