Runge also only followed around one allergy victim who did not have many powerful things to say beyond the obvious negative comments on

The significance was also very present as the author started by giving information about the relevancy of the topic in our present day society. The suggestions especially provided clear-cut examples of how this paper and its topic can be helpful to anyone, as it emphasized that allergies are dependent on the choices we as individuals make. The last sentence really stuck with me, and gave me a sense that knowing this is a responsibility, which added to the significance conveyed. Furthermore, the way the author took time to actually make it look like a magazine entry was fantastic! It was really nice to the eye and added some liveliness to the…

It says that like woodworkers begin with rough wood, teachers begin with a group of students full of problems, anxieties, and misinformation. That all can and must be corrected using procedures in all areas of the classroom. The first procedure given as an example is a way of quieting and grabbing the attention of your students. This should be done in a way that doesn’t belittle the teacher, nor requires the teacher raising their voice. Harry Wong does this by simply holding his hand in the air, or ringing a bell if the students are facing another way. Elizabeth Wong takes this a step further by saying or cueing the phrase…

So far, Jennifer has had a nose job and a procedure to slightly sand down the top layer of her skin. Though she has had these procedures, she feels like she looks disfigured. Jennifer claims that if she were beautiful, or even pretty, that her life would be perfect and she would finally be happy.…

Some of the commonalities I identified in the video by these 12-year-old kids were: They were being stereotyped based on their skin color, neighborhood they lived in, and their religion affiliation. There were several points in the video that had an impact on me. The first one was at (1:42), when the little boy discussed what it feel like to be biracial-“He have to prove to his friends that he is black.” I found this comment to be sad. I do not think a child should have to spend their time worrying about these things. They should be focused on their schoolwork and playtime with their friends and family.…
