Equal Rights In Australia Research Paper
“Same sex couples today have greater rights than they did in previous generations.”
Every day in Australia, at least 20000 couples experience systematic discrimination on a daily basis.
The Definition of “Civil Rights” in Dictionary.com (2016), is defined as “Rights to personal liberty established by the 13th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution and certain Congressional acts, especially as applied to an individual or a minority group.”, or “The rights to full legal, social, and economic equality extended to blacks.”
In the Same-Sex: Same Entitlements report the Commission recommended that the Australian Government amend laws which discriminate against same-sex couples and their children in the area of financial and work-related entitlements
