He saw red and green lights hanging from the dwellings. There was also snow on all the roofs and for the first time in person he saw the houses were not all the same. He stumbled into the town and collapsed. He was exhausted and then right as his eyes were just about to close he saw a face. It was a woman who looked panicked all the sudden his eyes were forced open and he felt liquid go down his throat. Then he looked over to see if Gabriel was alright and they were feeding him too. Find out if you do love your spouse, find out if you like religion or not, find out if you are happy with your life and you wish to continue it with someone new. Please go out and find yourselves. Thank You.” There was nodding of the heads and smiling and that was the first thing that calmed down Jonas’s father. Instead of exiting every community member stayed and talked with each other. Trying to find themselves. The Giver stood up on stage knowing that the community was going to be okay. He just wished that Jonas were here now to see it. Jonas changed into his new clothes and drank hot cocoa. The lady said that she and her husband will help him plan a way to get back to his community without starving or dying. You’ll be back home in no time.” She smiled and walk away into another hallway and around the corner where Jonas could no longer see her. He walked into his room and looked around. It was just like a normal room in his dwelling except there was a bookshelf sitting to the right of him. He laid down on the bed and noticed how soft the bed was it was perfect. And with that final thought he closed his eyes and fell asleep. The next few months were hard for Jonas because he missed his family, friends and the Giver. It had been 29 full days since he has arrived in Elsewhere. One more day and the plan would be finished with everything he needed to get back home.
