Epilogue Of Odysseus Of Homer's The Odyssey

It was late afternoon when I, Polyphemus, saw their boat sailing in from the turquoise waters that day. Their leader, I later found out that his name was Odysseus. It didn’t really surprise me in the least that they came here because many people have done it in the past. I was actually kind of excited about it because I alone hadn't had a visitor in a long time though. They never saw me while I was hiding and planning what I was going to do to them once they entered my cave and I trapped them inside with a large boulder. But when I did, they would never see it coming. After a while of them roaming the fields on the island they stumbled upon my cave in which they decided to explore, bad idea on their part. It took them a few minutes to figure out why the cave had gotten so dark, which was mildly amusing. They tried a lot of things to try to escape that cave. A few of which were trying to push the boulder, digging through the dirt, and one of my favorites, they tried to explore the cave to find another exit when the cave they were in was big enough to fit about 7 other cyclops. After that I tried explaining to all of my friends about what had happened and when I told and explained it to them they all just started laughing. A short while after that, when Odysseus and his crew were sailing away he yelled: "MY NAME ISN'T NO-ONE! IT IS ODYSSEUS!" I took me a while to comprehend what he did and when I finally figured it out, I went to my father: Poseidon, and he was furious. My father was a strong man; a god at that. He swore that he would kill Odysseus the first chance he had. I was later notified that the other gods had sided against my father and were going to let Odysseus free from captivity on the island with the goddess
