The above article outlines the iussues of pollution and spread of dessies in the jukskei river which is beggining to result in major health problems such as spread of cholera and typhoid due to sewege spills and other causes of pollution.

There are various causes that have caused the problems stated in the article however the main cause of this health risk is due to the spilling of sewege and dumping of hazzardous materials into this river . The reason for this seweage spill was stated that "sewerage spilled into the river while belt presses were being replaced". This means that the lack of management and maintainence is what has resulted in this issue as if there was adiquiate maintenence the risk of a sewege spill would be minimal as there should be precautionary measure that should need to be in place when doing such repairs. During my investigation of this issue i found that the sewege spoiull is not the only majour cause as i have gathered that the township - Alexander - plays a large role in the polluting of this river . Citizens of this township tend to dump all of their rubbish and excretory wastes into the river this is also a majour cause of the poor state of this river.
