Entrepreneurship and Scalability: Feasibility Analysis
Question 1: Is the business scalable? What challenges and limitations does it have? The analysis of scalability of Alison Barnard's business will lead toward the discussion of challenges and limitations. The first challenge that Alison faces is the maintenance of the store as Bygrave and Zacharakis (2010) stated that " Alison wondered how that might impact her ability to replicate her concept"– she cannot keep playing every staff member role in the business(p.80). In addition, trying to keep up with her set of standards would be her second challenge, Alison think that her employees will never treat going to treat customer exactly the way she does (Bygrave & Zacharakis , 2010, p.80) . The limitations that she is all about lacking of appropriate employees, opportunity for growth and timing to improve her managing skills. Alison had to give up spending time with her boyfriend at weekend, and doing mainly the store manager by keeping everything look good (Bygrave & Zacharakis , 2010, p.81)
Question 2: What tasks and goals should Alison be focusing on at this stage of her venture? Following the facts shown in the case study, Alison should now focus on how to make her less independent from her. She need to be focusing on her management strategy, her financing and the opportunity for growth. In point of view, the way Alison running her business by everyday maintenance will take away her time for planning and expanding her business. Frankly speaking, giving customers personal experience spend time folding and arranging things in the way she thought was attractive can be done by her employees with training. As her business grew, Alison might see that the image she created can grow itself by her skill and her story will bring her more customer (Bygrave & Zacharakis , 2010, p.80). Therefore, the thing Alison is lacking of is just time being.
Question 4:Dicuss her funding-raisin and valuation. If you were an equity investor, what return expectations would you have ?

In today’s society there are a number of forces affecting how businesses run; in this essay I will explain how different forces affect a bakery chain called Greggs. Greggs is the largest bakery chain in the UK, over the course of its existence Greggs has already adapted numerous times to adapt to changing requirements in its target population and to try and maximise profits. In 1972 Greggs expanded outside of North Eastern England for the first time opening a regional division in Glasgow, twelve years after this happened Greggs started to trade on the London Stock exchange. Also in 1994 Greggs acquired 424 bakers oven shops which enabled Greggs to have an in store bakery this enabled them to put Greggs shops in built up busy areas and Bakers oven shops in smaller previously untouched areas with a lower population as the shops could bake what is needed for demand.
