Unfair Judging of Individuals
Sight being one of the most important senses a person has and one of the strongest form of communication that a person will probably use. So, it’s no wonder that a person will judge another person within the first thirty seconds of laying eyes upon them. Unfortunately, being judged by your appearance is by no means an effective way of determining what a person is like on the inside. Although, almost everyone will be judge like this daily by people they encounter throughout the day. It’s amazing how more times than not, it is a negative judging and not something positive about a person. Everyone should remember the old proverbial saying, never judge a book by its cover, never judge another person by their appearance. Because it isn’t a reliable criterion for assessing the quality of a person’s character that lies within them. Unfortunately, everyday people are wrongly judged because they are judged by the first impression someone has formed based on their appearance. One way that a person will make an assumptions or perception about another person is based solely on the type of clothes they wear and how they look wearing them. No matter what some people say, people are judged by the way they appear and by the clothes that they wear. In other words, the clothes someone wears will either be perceived in a positive way or in a negative way and assumes that they know the person. For instance, a woman goes on a job interview wearing inappropriate and ill-fitting attire will not get the job because how a person dresses makes a powerful statement about them which may not be accurate. The opinion people might form about the woman is one who doesn’t respect herself, places no value on her appearance, or that she doesn’t care about the impact her appearance has on her life. Which may not be true assumption about the woman going on the job interview because she

Most people rely on the security and care of others to provide for their loved ones when they put them in a nursing home. What they don’t realize is how much neglect goes on to the people they care most about. Residents are at risk of being abused by their caretakers but they are also at risk of being restrained, which may lead to a form of abuse. At Southwestern Nursing Home I have witnessed forms of neglect and abuse. Nursing homes are meant to be a place for security for the elderly to be cared for in their golden years, and it has become an unpleasant experience for senior citizens being subjected to acts of abuse and neglect.…

Thump. Thump. Thump. The pounding of the door awakened me in the dead of the night. Distinctive voices were calling through the door. I lay in my bed quietly as I heard the footsteps of my mother in the hallway. Lights went a blazing, lighting her way, some spilling into our room. Then I heard a door open and more feet shuffling into our quiet home.…

One would think that purchasing your first home would be a very fascinating experience; after all it is one of the most major purchases of your entire life. In America, home ownership ties in with the American Dream and the spirit of working hard to one day earn through hard work a home with a white picket fence. My husband and I felt that it was time for us to reward ourselves for all the hard work we have been putting in over the years by purchasing our first home, which was well overdue. I quickly learned the process of purchasing your first home can be very frustrating and stressful. However, if you survive the home buying process the reward is priceless once you move into your “American Dream.”…

People are characterized by many things, more often their appearance; unfortunately, it is my belief that society has placed stigmas on people who do not conform to what is considered the norm. Admittedly so, I judge others by superficial characteristics. For instance, if a person’s clothes look disheveled and their hair unkempt I assume that they are not trustworthy, unclean and probably on drugs. In contrast, when I see a person who is dressed neatly and drives a nice vehicle, I assume they are educated, have a high paying job and own a home.…

Now, I’m not going to lie and say that I’ve never in my life judged a person based on their clothes, or makeup, because I have. Even though I don’t like to admit it, on many occasions I’ve met someone for the first time and assumed different aspects about them based on ones outside features. But just because I associate their appearance with certain behaviors or attitudes, doesn't mean that I stick them in a stereotype box and that's all they ever are to me.…

Ans: A well-known dictum states that ’appearances are deceptive’. In fact, it is true that one cannot be judged in just one meeting. Actually, one or more meetings are not enough to judge a person’s personality. Every person reacts differently on different situations at different times. So it is not a matter of single appearances to form a judgment about a person. It might be a prejudice.…

First day of January 2010 is the day that I would never forget. Everything that happened on that day will always stay vivid in my memory. It all started with a Sunday morning. Unlike usual, that day, I woke up with a bright smile on my face. As soon as I opened my eyes, my sight immediately looked at the side of the grey cupboard at the corner of my room where I hung the calendar. I was so happy when I saw the calendar and the day of first January had finally arrived. I have been waiting for that day to come, first day of January used to be the most exciting day for me because it was my birthday, an important day that I will celebrate with the one and only person who I loved the most, Ben. He was my childhood friend, my neighbor, my brother, my best friend, my love and most importantly he is the only person who will remember and celebrate my birthday, give me presents and wish me a happy birthday. He means the whole world to me. But now, everything has changed, first day of January is no longer the day that will make me smile brightly, it has became the day that will brimmed my eyes with tears.…
