The ideas and ideals the Steve Jobs brings to the table are absolutely astonishing. I mean, just hearing what he had to say literally made me feel as if there were nothing in the world I couldn’t do. I completely agree with what he says. “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon was is the most important tool I have ever encountered.”(Jobs, 2005). Knowing the fact that we all have an hourglass above our heads is extremely important when trying to become something in a short period of time. It means you better get off your behind and do something otherwise you will get that opportunity ever again. Those that only come once in a lifetime. We all have done this at some point in our lives. That is procrastinate when you are asked to do something. What he says really clicks with me and may for hundreds of thousands of people.…

The Tell Tale Heart is a short story written in 1843 by Edgar Allen Poe. This story starts with the narrator telling us how he is not mad, merely nervous, but not crazy. In this story he explains that he loves and takes care of this old man. He has nothing against this old man, in fact he cares for him, but he hates the old man’s “vulture-eye”. The narrator hates the eye and decides to kill the old man to be free of it. He devises a plan to be free of the eye, the narrator goes to the old man's room every night at 12am, for seven days. On the eighth night, he went into the bedroom, then quickly drags the old man, off the bed, and then pulls the bed on top of the man. The narrator then waits till he hears the old man’s heart stop. After a twelve-hour work day, rushing home to the kids and to cook supper, is there ever any time to exercise? The benefits of exercise strongly outweigh the reasons to sit on the couch and eat potato chips. Most of our population is not only obese but out of shape. If a person is five feet four inches and two hundred pounds does not mean they are out of shape. They may not be in their average suggested weight, but if their muscle percentage is more than their fat, then they are above most of the population. Muscle weighs more than fat, so gaining muscle means gaining healthy weight. Exercise is addicting and fun, once you see the results, it is hard to stop. Even though we have such busy lives, finding time to make ourselves healthy is important.…

Throughout my education experience all my English classes have typically been the same. We would learn maybe a few new things, but overall every English class was about the same. I could not say that my English 211C class falls in that category because we talked a lot about current issues. I was not really expecting us to talk about current issues as much as we did. At first it through me off because it was not what I was used to in an English class, but I grew to like talking about current issues. I learned how important it is to keep up with current issues because if I live in this world a lot of things that go on in the world can affect me. It was also different because we got a topic and that is the topic we conducted all our assignments…

Steve Jobs lived a life unparalleled by the common man. Raising some of the most successful corporations from the ground up, being at the forefront of the technological revolution, and battling pancreatic cancer for a number of years were all things that he succeeded in accomplishing throughout his 56 years of life. He also happened to deliver a brilliant commencement address to one of the finest academic institutions in the world. Any college graduate in the audience that sunny afternoon at Stanford University was in for a treat. The irony behind the whole situation was the fact that Steve Jobs himself, although arguably one of the most successful men of the 21st century, never graduated college. “…this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation”, Jobs confesses immediately after he begins speaking. Throughout the speech, the experiences he shares with the audience all share a common theme; the pursuit of happiness will lead you down the road of success if you follow your intuition and do what makes you truly happy. He conveys this message with the use of a cause and effect analysis, contrast, and personal anecdotes.…

I have attended Argosy University Online since March 21, 2013 to Present. I was a Fulltime student. I'm currently taking my last course with them which is ENG 102. I enjoy taking my classes online. I feel as it is just like sitting in the classroom. When I logon to my class portal everything is there. Currently at Argosy the terms are 5 weeks long. So when I log on I have 5 modules that are one week a piece and have 3 assignments on each module. I participate in a discussion that the instructor puts out and I have to respond to the discussion post and also having to reply to two classmates on their discussion post every week. When assignments are due requiring the use of a text book I navigate under the module that the assignment is due and click on the require text that pertains to the assignment and the text is there from the book. When a writing assignment is due, I normally type the paper in Microsoft word and attach the document into the drop box on Argosy University's student portal and click the drop down box and click which assignment I’m submitting and submit it for grading. If I’m not too much in a hurry I will wait about ten minutes to see what my Turnitin score is. If I have any questions for the professor at any time I go to the left hand side where the modules are and click “Questions for the Professor” and ask my question. If it’s something personal in nature I will send the professor an email.…

Before taking this English 101-A course, I had a particular perception when it came to writing essays and English language. In High school, I was a really lazy student. As lazy as they can come, I was that times 10. For as long as I can remember I had always coasted through Elementary school and Middle school with really great grades. I would take honor roll courses and get straight A’s and 1 B almost every year. So by the time I had reached my first year in High school 9th grade, I decided I didn’t have to pay attention to anything or anybody because I thought I was so smart. I literally attended school from 9th grade to 12th grade to pass. I thought it would serve no higher purpose to me other than a time to get in some solid nap time, get…
