Mathematics, Science, and engineering career paths are impacting today’s changing world even more by the day. Almost everything we do has an element of all three of these fields. For example, cars use math inequalities when you see a speed limit. It uses friction and aerodynamics from science to calculate the max speed. It’s design and build are a result of the evolution of engineering. No matter how advanced and complex our inventions become, mathematicians, scientists, …show more content…
If we look into the past, we can find an extensive amount of examples about when science drastically changed the world. For example, when mankind learned that the earth was not flat but round. That one discovery led to more travel and also paved the way for later discoveries, such as gravity. Another discovery that changed the course of humans was electricity. Since that discovery humans have depended on electricity for almost everything. Surely science will not stop growing, at least not until the end of our children’s lives. It will keep becoming more advanced and complicated in the future. We will be able to do things that otherwise, would not have been possible such as, finding a cure to Cancer, or putting nuclear reactors inside houses to generate electricity, but still be safe .
A man named James A Michener once said “Scientists dream of doing great things. Engineers do them.” Engineers will always be a colossal part of society because as this quote says, Scientists plan and figure out great things, but the engineers are the ones who take them from the blueprints to real life. Engineers are the biggest part of the future because engineers are the actual people who build all of our ideas. If engineers had not existed it would be like having electricity without a lightbulb. As long as math and science are still growing engineering will be growing as
