Introduction:
As you know you breath oxygen to get energy live, etc. this is because of the respiratory system. The respiratory system consists of making your body cells get oxygen and eliminate the carbon dioxide cells. The respiration needs the help of the cells each cell has its own respiration by the mitochondria that is an organelle. The main function of the mitochondria is to convert the potential energy of the food or the oxygen molecules into ATP. According to Kimball’s biology pages the cellular respiration is the process of changing the molecules like C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H2O → 12H2O + 6 CO2. ATP is what keeps you with energy is what transports the potential energy through your body. By the investigation of Jerry Bergman energy is usually take out from the ATP molecule to work in the cell by a reaction that takes one of the phosphate-oxygen groups, leaving adenosine diphosphate (ADP).     ATP is generated from aerobic respiration from the use of biosynthetic pathways. Glycolysis is where respiration starts in the cells and produces ATP, NADH, and 2 pyruvate molecules from the oxidation of six carbon carbohydrate and glucose. Even if oxygen is there or not, enzymes are mediated in the cytoplasm. The electron transport chain, chemiosmosis, and aerobic respiration use NADH molecule (which it main purpose is to transport electrons form one molecule to another) for later purposes. When the pyruvate enters the Krebs cycle it goes through many stages of biochemical enzyme-catalyzed reactions.
