Encouraging Muscle Groups In The Body
When looking for exercise equipment there are certain guidelines to follow. Here are the issues to consider:

1. Effective - In order for a piece of exercise equipment to be effective it needs to be able to challenge all of the muscle groups in the body. This can only be done with multiple levels of resistance (tension). The fact is that each of your muscle groups is a different size and a different strength. Your thighs are stronger than your arms, your back is stronger than your shoulders etc… If you use one level of resistance for all of your muscles some will be challenged and some will not. Why is it so important to challenge you muscles? When you challenge a muscle (place it under new stresses) with resistance it will be forced to adapt and eventually change. This is the theory of adaptation. But it makes sense. If you need proof of this simply look at people in certain labor-intensive professions. Have you ever seen a skinny steel worker? No? That's because they are lifting heavy amounts of weight daily and their bodies have adapted. Is Bodylastics effective? Big time!

2. Versatile - What does versatility have to do

When you are not effectively working your muscles with this machine - you can easily store it in a top drawer or just about anywhere else. Even better it can travel with you everywhere. You will be able to get the workout that you are used to anywhere, anytime. It is probably due to this feature that Bodylastics has been sold to just about every major division of the

Hope Muscular & Flexibility Project The Busy Traveler Class My class is focused on 'the busy traveler', consisting of a group of older adults who work and travel often, spending a lot of time on airplanes or in hotels. They don't stay in the same place long enough for a gym membership or big permanent, non-moveable equipment to be worth the money. Their strengths include things taken from working and traveling-- time management and recognition of the importance of getting in shape. Their weaknesses are their less than stellar flexibility and muscular strength, with results of old age such as possible arthritis or other joint or bone pain being an issue. Most of the technology I’m working with is pretty simple by itself. I’m using a DC motor cannibalized from an electric car window. A DC motor, or direct current motor, is a common electric motor that is run off of direct (positive and negative) current. It helps to think about batteries which have a positive and negative end, not the wall outlet. DC motors can be found in objects such as cordless drills or battery operated remote control cars. I will also be testing shape memory alloy (muscle wire) and a pneumatic system. Muscle wire and pneumatics are a bit more complex. Muscle wire is a thin wire usually made of a nickel-titanium alloy that morphs into a preprogrammed shape when introduced to heat or electricity. The pneumatic system I’m using uses pressurized air to push a piston out of an airtight chamber. Exoskeletons have long been products of science fiction, but recently researchers have seen the potential of exoskeletons as rehabilitation or assistive devices for weak patients.…

Taking a survey of all types of sports equipment around my house I see a variety of different things that my family and I tend to buy depending on the type of sport or activity anyone is into at the time. At first thinking of the this assignment and reading the instructions I did not think that I had any sports equipment in my household but once I started looking around I noticed that there are a lot of things that can be considered sports equipment like exercise equipment and clothing that I very frequently spend money on. Lately I had been getting into working out a lot because I want to lose weight for the summer which is right around the corner, and I have had these spurts a lot and have not gone through with the whole thing but each time I always buy something new that will help me to lose weight. I also took into account all the things that my boyfriend buys because most of the time we both buy stuff for his football. Currently he is playing semi-professional football locally for the city we live in and he is constantly buying new things from clothing to balls and pads for his games.…
