This information is very detailed and provides suggestions for the type of material that can be used from the gospels to assist with this unit along with key events in Jesus’ life. By using the suggested events as a starting point, students learn about the people involved in key events in Jesus’ life, where they occurred and why they were important. They can then look at Jesus as a Jewish person and the types of cultural events that were important to Jesus as a person and also look at the political climate of 1st century Palestine to understand what life would have been like.
