Employees Should Not Work Remotely
Nowadays, due to the development of modern technology, working out of the office has turned into a reality. Employees can now more easily connect themselves with businesses. When the new work pattern emerges, many companies and staffs advocate it, because it seems to have some advantages; however, the deficiencies should not be ignored. Even though, technology allows, businesses should not give employees the choice to work remotely because it would affect management, performance and privacy of the companies.
Companies should not allow employees to work remotely whenever the technology allows because companies cannot manage their employees well. Most companies have their own rules and regulations to restrict their employees. If the employees work at home, they would more likely to escape the control of their companies. Many remote workers may do their personal chores during the work time. For instance, some employees may be tempted to browse “Face Book” or chat with their friends on the phone when doing the important project. According to “Yahoo orders home workers back to the office,” Claire Cain Miller and Catherine Rampell quote chief executive of Challenger Gray & Christmas John Challenger that “A lot of companies are
Li 2 afraid to let their workers work from home some of time or all of the time because they’re afraid they’ll lose control.” In other words, many companies think they could better manage their workers if restrict them in the office. The interests of companies would be better because company’s supervision and staffs could oversee their colleagues. Therefore, companies need maintain control of their employees, and not allow their employees work outside of the office.
Admittedly, companies could obtain more products from the employees who work at home alone with the technology, what is also true that company’s performance has not keep up with the high productivity. As a result companies should not allow their employees to work at home. A
