Ellen Toliver Changed in different ways. She changed a lot during this story, here is how Ellen changed.

The first way that Ellen changed is confidence. Before Ellen had to deliver grandfather’s message, Ellen had a lack of confidence. This is how I know that Ellen had confidence “I’m going to run most of the way to get there before dark” Ellen stated this on page 106 before she started walking/running to Elizabeth town.

The second way that Ellen changed, was that she was unafraid. This is sign of evidence that Ellen is unafraid “ Yes-s-s” Ellen said in response to Mrs.Shannon who asked if Ellen had a piece of bread under her jacket. This shows that Ellen is unafraid.

The very last way that Ellen changed is that she stands up
