Elisha's True Life Story Analysis
Elisha was a chorister in his church, having passion for music, he proceeded to learn organ from his friend. He learnt what is rhythm, and also other musical instruments such as lead guitar, bass guitar. Doing his period he discovered he was good at backing up songs, so he decided compose songs. They started playing music in their church, at night clubs, vigils, burials with bands such as intercontinental band etc. They played within and outside the state. In the year 2006, they released their first album Tittle “ino nor Ekpad ami’’ which hit the market, making them wanting to compose more songs. The song tittle “old school” which made them very popular and the story behind the song was Elisha’s true life story. They sing many …show more content…
His first song was tittle “Ebe mmi” released in the year 2008.he is a highlife musician because he believes that is where he can express himself and intentions effectively to the people. He composes using Efik, Ibibio and Pidgin English for effective and grass root communication.
He composes his music through inspirations, daily happenings, true life stories of both himself and those he sees and hears and most of his are fully with irony,and something satirical songs used for critics. Challenges Prince Eti-bass encountered a lot of challenges and some of it includes:
• He didn’t have anyone to support him in his musical career, the issue of no parent and noboby to help was a very big challenge on its own but he had to push on knowing God is by his side.
• Finances to pull through and as well produce release his own album.
• After releasing his album, his marketers were not faithful with the quantity of sales made.
Sociological Contribution
• He ensure that his songs have a moral lessons which he is sending out to the society.
