I. Attention Catcher: Talk about anticipating typical Thanksgiving food and what I will eat (maybe show a slide or photograph for watching). II. Listener Relevance Link: People are switching to hybrid cars more than getting an average vehicle. III. Speaker Credibility Statement: I have learned a lot about hybrids, since my best friend got one, and she and another friend was honored to help me give information on hybrids. IV. Thesis Statement: Living a vegetarian lifestyle is an important aspect of who I am today. V. Preview: Today I am going to talk about what is a hybrid, the different kind of hybrids, and the pros and cons.

I. First main point: What is a Hybrid, and why?
A. Subpoint: (Ask the class if they know what a hybrid really is) A hybrid is “a car with a gasoline engine and an electric motor, each of which can propel it” (Goggle dictionary). B. Subpoint: People at Psyh.org say they don’t know why people decided to make hybrids half gas half electric, and they don’t know if anyone would really know the answers, not even experts.(Psyh.org) C. Subpoint:

Now that you know what a hybrid is, I’m going to tell the types of hybrids there are.

II. Second main point: Different types of hybrids.
A. Subpoint: There are three types of hybrids; Electric Vehicle (regenerates through battery), the plug in electric vehicle, and the Battery electric. (show slide of cars, see if they can tell which car is which and if they are really hybrids) B. Subpoint: An electric hybrid is a car that runs off of gas and battery; if you are running on E all you have to do is regenerate the battery by stopping and rubbing your tires with the road. ( black car) C. Subpoint: The Tennessee Valley Authority says that the plug in hybrids and electric hybrids are pretty much the same only difference is the plug in has a bit bigger battery and simply plugs into the wall.
