Egg Bouncy Egg
Can you make an egg bounce? Well the answer is yes, you make an egg bounce by using just a few steps. You can make this even more fun by doing this with a couple of friends.
First you will need an egg. Then get a bowl. Also you will need vinegar. After you have all those here is what you will need to do. Boil the egg or eggs that you have. After you boil the egg let it set for at least an hour. Then set the egg in a bowl. When you have all that done just put vinegar in the bowl with the hard boiled egg ( How to make a bouncy egg).

After letting the hard boiled egg set in the vinegar for three days take it out and let it set on a paper towel for a couple of minutes. After letting it set on the paper towel take the egg and set it under cold

Try to rinse the shell off of the egg. Take another bowl and put any color of kool-aid in the bowl. Put the egg in the bowl with the kool-aid. Let the egg set in the kool-aid for about twenty-four hours. After the egg has set in the kool-aid for twenty-four hours take the egg out of the bowl. Let the egg set on a paper towel for a few minutes before touching the egg. There is even more ways to color a bouncy egg. If you want a neon egg you need an egg boiled and put in a bowl with vinegar to make the egg bounce. ( Acids- bouncing …show more content…
When you start to bounce the eggs start at a lower range because if you start off really high the egg will break. Put the egg about two inches from the ground and watch the egg bounce. If that goes well then you could go higher. This project is fun to do with family and friends ( Acids-bouncing egg). . Did you know that vinegar was the main source of making the egg change to where it could be able to bounce? The vinegar reacts with the calcium that is on the shell and then makes the egg able to bounce. The inside of the egg still stays the same. If you do not boil the egg the yolk is still runny, if you end up busting the egg yolk will go everywhere. If the egg is boiled the yolk will be hard and it will not go anywhere. I enjoyed this project a lot. I learned that vinegar could actually make an egg bounce which is really cool cause now I could do this activity when I have some friends over. I enjoyed learning about what the vinegar does to make the egg bounce. One cool thing that I liked about this project was that you could make a neon or glow in the dark bouncy

My project was constructed by using simple materials that could be found around the house and were transformed into a protective device for two Grade A Large Eggs. The materials of my project are cardboard, tape and a hot glue gun. I used a cardboard box whose flaps folded in over top, but taped open the flaps so that the height would meet the 20 cm minimum requirement. I made sure the width was less than 50 cm so that the bumpers would not exceed the maximum. I then cut pieces of cardboard equal to the length of the long and short sides of the box. I loosely rolled each piece of cardboard and taped them so that they would not roll open. Next, on the long sides of the box I taped the rolls of cardboard to the box horizontally and on the short sides I taped them vertically. I applied a lot of tape to make sure they would be held in place during the crashes. To keep the eggs from rolling around the big box, I secured them in two smaller boxes. I secured the eggs in the smaller boxes by rolling a piece of cardboard about an inch in width around the egg to create a holder. The egg can easily slide in out of the holder, but not easily enough to fall out once a force is applied. I taped the holder to smaller squares of cardboard and taped them down to the bottom of the smaller box. Each small box had the same construction. Finally, to secure the smaller boxes in the big box, I hot glued them down in the center of the box.…

Procedure: The procedure to make the device was as simple as cutting two bottles in half so that you may then stretch the balloon over the opening that you have created. This is where the egg will rest during the fall. Measuring the device we placed it on a scale to see exactly what its weight was, which turned out to be 76.5Kg. The dimensions of the structure were measured with a ruler using the centimeter side. The dimensions came out to be 9cm x 9cm x 24.5cm. Just below the maximum height. Testing the fall, we took the egg and the structure over to the rotunda to drop it from about 5.3 meters. You would then be judged on how or if the egg survives the fall and given a score that fits well.…

To suspend the egg I made a rubber band net. First I took the three rubber bands on the all sides and banded the ones horizontal from it. The ones on the top were banded to the ones vertical of them. It resulted in a tic-tac toe like net. I then placed the egg on top of the net. The egg rolled around…

The goal of the lab was to make a contraption that if an egg was dropped from about 18 ft it wouldn’t break or even crack. We tried to absorb the force of the egg so that it wouldn’t hot the ground with too much energy. The contraption had a net made of yarn to catch the egg and not have it bounce too much; it was slanted slightly so the egg could roll down into a soft pile of cotton that lined the bottom of the box.…

Obviously I built this device with some prior knowledge to physics and how to make this device successful. I have learned several equations about force, work, power, height, speed, velocity and a lot more. So with force, f=ma, then I can easily discern what the force of the egg will be. Also, since I know all of these things, than I can figure out all of the physics with just the equations. Also I learned, with these things, that if the force of the egg doesn’t have something to fall into, like cotton or balloons, then it will break, because the force needs to be shared or it takes over the egg. With that, I understood a basis of how the device should be.…

Prior to the trials at the set heights, there seemed to be multiple structural designs that would suffice as an egg protecting or slowing agent. However, with a little bit of thought regarding the materials provided, one could deduce that a structure that would slow the time of impact between the egg/structure and the ground would be the most successful from the three different drop heights of two, three, and five meters. One design that would generate success would…

    Egg Lab Report

An egg is a model of a human because the egg has a cell membrane like humans do inside and outside of the body that let things pass through like water. We can use eggs to study the effect of changes in the external environment on the internal environment by having harsh environments like putting the egg in only alcohol and see what happens to the inside of the egg. Diffusion is the movement of a substance down its concentration gradient from a more to a less concentrated area. Meaning if there was more oxygen on one side of the membrane and the membrane was permeable to oxygen, the oxygen would pass through to the side of less oxygen. Osmosis is the movement of water across a selectively permeable membrane. Diffusion and osmosis is important for organisms because our nutrients, oxygen, and etc., need diffusion to go through compartments. I predicted that the more the concentrated the alcohol solution was the mass would increase because I thought the membrane would let alcohol through which would cause the egg to expand.…
