Effects of K - 12
What is the award all about? Actually, it is not merely an award. It is more than an award for I was commissioned as Major in the Reserve Force, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Army.

Who granted the award and what agency or institution? It was for the pursuance of Circular No. 4, series of 2010 and Section 40 of the National Defense , as amended , and in conjunction with Republic Act Number 7077, from the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines by the The President himself, he commissioned me as Major through the Secretary of National Defense, Jessie D. Dellosa.

When and where did you receive the award? The Letter from the Office of the President was dated December 20, 2012 yet we did the rites last March 3, 2013 at the Teachers Conference Center, Batangas City

What are the qualifications to receive the award and how you were chosen to be the recipient of the award? I really didn't knew their standards in commissioning citizens. What happened was I was being recruit by the 17th Infantry Division few years past. At first I was not that enthusiastic in joining the Infantry for I was always being preoccupied by my duties as the Barangay Chairman. But with their outrageous insistence, I gave it a try. For 2 years or less, as they have seen my character and academic qualifications, and of course, my selfless and honest service to my barangay for 14 years, they required me to render them proofs of my worth in writing. The Infantry, as I did knew, made series of personality and character check to validate my being. After tremendous series of investigation, I was commissioned as Major, a rank which fits my credentials.

How many received the same award? They commisioned for of us. One from Isabela, The other one is from Davao, and another from Cavite. Of course, I was lucky to be one among those 4 majors, from our humble home, Batangas.

What happened after the award was granted to you? What are the expectations from you for receiving the title? This honor is not given to every person. As they say, many are called yet few are chosen. No else, I will continue my stand and principles as a man with dignity and nationalistic love to fellowmen. This rank as Major in the Philippine Army implies challenges to render service not only to my Barangay but to all other people who needs my help and support. More over, must I stand with the Title that I must be more keener in dealing with other people and be in the best that could be.

The next incident that I personally counseled you on was you being late for first formation. I am listing this incident again to inform you of a pattern that I am noticing. CPL Echevarria, which leads us into the present time incident 9 March 2017 you, release your section during the LPD without guidance, which was a mistake in itself. The problem was you told SSG Cavendar and myself that you did not know where they were at like they left on there on when you made the decision yourself. You also told me that SPC Willis was sick and that was the reason you let her go but I asked her over the incident the following day. She informed me when I talked to her that was not true and that means you lied to a noncommissioned officer not once but twice in the same infraction I will not accept or tolerate that from anyone in this section in a leadership position. My last infraction I will cover is that I told you not to leave without doing your monthly counseling’s and you did. I reminded periodically during the week that you needed to get on it and even gave you pointers on what to counsel your soldiers…
