Athletes and their other side Sexual assault has been going on for many years. Sexual assault is extremely common among colleges. Sexual assault by itself is a horrible crime, but when athletes commit this horrible crime, they sometimes get an easier sentence. In today society they should have a class on sexual education and actually explain the term “sex”. “Athletes should have to take this class especially because studies show that many Athletes accused of sexual assault have been protected by their coaches while the victims are being disregard.” Yeah, athletes show their talent on the field during the game but they show their other side off when they are off the field. Athletes tend to receive special treatment in sexual assault punishment. Alcohol is 50-70% of the cause of sexual assault. The majority of sexual assault on college campuses are categorized as incapacitated sexual assault. In that sexually education class they could talk about how alcohol is one of the reasons how sexually assault begins. Because if the victim is drunk, under the influence of drug, passed out, or asleep they aren’t actually aware of what is going on, so they cannot consent to anything that happens. Do not think alcohol causes sexual assault but it is a tool that allows athletes to commit sexual assault. Just face it, there is party on
