Effects of Routing
The first step the Johnson Company should take to reach out to new and old customers is by updating their web presence. Making a company website allowing customers to order products online can and will make it easier and more accessible to people who online shop. Also provide gift cards and a weekly newsletter sign up to help inform customers of new products and or events. Setting up social media accounts on Facebook, twitter, and LinkedIn will help notify people of their existence.

To stand out from other businesses they should update their advertisement methods by having billboards and televised ads to draw attention of possible new customers. Setting up video chat and IM messaging on a customer service aspect will give the company a person to person feel, which will help to company stand out from others.
By making these changes the Johnson Company should have at least a fighting chance to keep up with the flow of change.

Also, the only way to communicate to customers is by the ad in the yellow pages which is a good source but only reaches a limited number of customers because we need to take into account how many customers are actually searching the yellow pages.…

Clearly define the potential customer to whom you will target your message. Decide where you plan to engage him, whether it is online, in stores or by mail. Each of those avenues has its unique set of requirements. For example, if you are planning to sell the new product in retail stores, you must address issues such as distribution and wholesale and retail pricing to assure you, your wholesaler and the retailer a reasonable profit margin. Then you must decide who within your company has the talent to make the introduction successful. You may conclude that many of the talents you need to guarantee a successful introduction do not currently exist in your company. If so, consider looking elsewhere for it.…
