Fathia Attia Mohammed , Elsayeda Ibrahim Ahmed stated that vinegar is a liquid substance consisting mainly of acetic acid and water, the acetic acid being produced through the fermentation of ethanol by acetic acid bacteria. Vinegar, from the French vinegar, meaning “sour wine,” can be made from almost any fermentable carbohydrate source, including wine, molasses, dates, sorghum, apples, pears, grapes, berries, Melon, coconut, honey, beer, maple syrup, potatoes, beets, malt, grains, and whey. Initially, yeast ferment the natural food sugar to alcohol. Next, acetic acid bacteria (Acetobacter) convert the alcohol to acetic acid not sure this is relevant. “Avicenna, in his famous book "The Canon of Medicine”, mentioned several beneficial medicinal uses for vinegar: it is a powerful clotting agent, it heals burns and skin inflammations, and it relieves headaches caused by heat. He also considers vinegar a good digestive supplement. Bin Qayyim Al-Jawziyya also mentions the merits of vinegar in his book, Al Tabb al Nabawi (The Prophetic Medicine). In this book, he mentions that wine vinegar helps against gastric inflammation and bile disease, and prevents the effects of toxic medications and poisonous mushrooms. He also notes that vinegar quenches thirst, acts as an appetite stimulant, and prevents tumors’ from occurring as well as helps in the digestion process. Fever is common encountered in the hospital. That’s why we decided to find alternatives that can improve the usual TSB. We come up to an idea of using vinegar because of the testimonials of the old folks. They perform this kind of practice as a tradition in their barangays. Through this study we want to prove the effectiveness of vinegar and find information that can support the testimonial of the old folks. And according to the study of International Journal of NA Science entitled A comparison of vinegar compress vs. Cold Water and water with vinegar for treating of fever at Tropical Hospital, based on the result that they’ve got vinegar compress faster. In terms of lowering body temperature and that’s was conducted in their country. In view of this we just want to perform that
Statement of the Problem
This study aims to determine the difference in the effects of vinegar and cold water in lowering the body temperature in Pediatric Patients at EBMC.
Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:
1. What are the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of: 1.1Age
1.4Length of the occurrence of fever
2. How many degrees do the temperature lowered with the use of vinegar? Cold water? 2.130 minutes
2.21 hour
2.32 hours
3. Is there a significant difference in lowering the body temperature with the use of vinegar and cold water within: 4.1 30 minutes
4.2 1 hour
4.3 2 hours
Conceptual Framework
This study emphasizes the effectiveness of vinegar and cold water in lowering body temperature in Pediatric Patients at EBMC. The conceptual paradigm below will summarize the idea. The determination of the independent and dependent variable was done to show the scope and purpose of the study. INTERVENING VARIABLE

Considering as independent variable is vinegar compress which contain 1 cup pure vinegar or the “Tuba”. It has been said by Fathia Attia Mohammed and Elsayeda Ibrahim Ahmed that vinegar is consist of acetic acid which is being produced fermentation of ethanol alcohol that helps to lower the body temperature.
