Effective Study Habits Worksheet

Review Phoenix Career Plan results of Career Plan Building Activity: Work Culture Preference, respond to the following in 50 to 100 words each:

1. Describe your ideal study environment. The ideal study environment would be a room in my house converted into an office space. This room would have no distracting objects, only a desk, candles, a computer, and a coffee maker. I would have all my materials accessible, and have snacks on hand for my study breaks, so that I remain focused on the task at hand.

2. List some of the distractions that might hinder your study progress or your performance in an online classroom. Having multiple websites open while working on class work, or having a cluttered study area. Not having a schedule to maintain balance in my house with my children, and mate. Friends and family can be a distraction when they want to randomly stop by for visits or want you to go hang out, sometimes even calling and askin you to take them around so they can run some errans when they are having car trouble.

3. What actions can you take to manage and eliminate distractions? Set a positive mood for my studies, and schedule a productive time to study, find a less distracting space. Discuss a designated study time with my family, and create a schedule for my children. Keep my study environment uncluttered so that I can find my resources and remain focused. Eliminate distractions that may temp me to procrastinate like cell phones and etc.

4. How will you apply your personal learning style? How does your personal Learning style affect your study habits? I will apply my personal learning style to help me make better choices, and have better focus, so that I improve my study habits. Knowing my personal learning style will affect my way of learning, by having a better understanding in the way that I personally learn. By knowing that I work and study
