1. Introduction
Educare Services is a leading regional provider of quality infant and child care services and bilingual kindergarten and preschool education to children two months to six years of age. It is a subsidiary of the MyStar Education Group.

Educare Services’ curriculum integrates the best education approaches and methodologies from the West and the values of morality and inter-personal relationships of the East. This is achieved through a team of in-house expertise in curriculum research and development, continuous teachers’ training and strong affiliations with renowned preschools and institutions of higher learning in different countries.

Therefore, Educare Services is in need of an automated attendance & payroll system comprises of the software and hardware to record the attendance and compute the salaries as to address the unhappiness among the employees with regards to the delay of the salary.
2. Core Concern
Security System.
As Educare Services has almost 500 employees, it is hard to identify between the employees and outsiders. A new security system, comprises of key pass must be introduce and all employees need to have the key pass with them at all times for easy identification.

Attendance Monitoring.
Currently all Educare Services centre is manually recording the attendance of the employees under each centre. After which the Centre Managers will email the attendance records of employees to the main centre on a daily basis. This is not productivity and most of the records sent by the Centre Managers is not updated.

This can be changes or modify to suit our needs in future as to enable us to enhance the performances of the system.
The use of a customise software solution will also be able to allow us to integrate with our existing system and work together to achieve an objective set by the management. This will overall reduce the time and allow the staffs work productivity level to increase and enhances the performances.
Being able to perform the objective and functions that our competitors cannot means that we will gain the real competitive advantages over them and this will be able to add value to the business
Disadvantages of Custom Software
One of the main disadvantage is that the initial cost to design such a software will require a large investment. This needs to be justify and need to evaluate if the business does require to spend on such investment as the company will be the sole entity funding for the development of the
