Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Tell-Tale Heart'
“The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe is a short story written in first person point of view. The main characters of the story are an unmanned narrator and an old man. The story unfolds at night at the old man’s house when he was sleeping. The narrator is telling the story about how he killed and dismembered the old man because of his vulture eyes annoyed and angered him. At the same time he is trying to prove his sanity by arguing that his senses have sharpened and how can a mad man have sharpened senses.
