Dear Everyone Who Questions My Antics,

I am well aware that I, Edward Regan Murphy, have made some mistakes in my life. I am also aware of the information that some of you people are thoroughly displeased with the decisions I’ve made. First off, I would like to acknowledge that I am not a child and I do not have to answer to anyone but since the community might stop going to see my movies…wait, it seems as though they have already stopped doing that so I see no reason to apologize. Let me just clarify what happened on that fateful day… It had just become morning on the second day of May in the one thousandth nine hundred and ninety seventh year. I was frolicking around the town in my wife’s vehicle, just looking for some good clean fun, when I saw what appeared to be a woman. She seemed distraught, as though she had lost everything that meant anything to her. All this I could tell in the milliseconds it took me to notice her. She was scantily clad and all I could imagine was that she had somehow lost all of her more appropriate clothing in some sort of fracas. Of course I immediately pulled over to help her out. I had seen her type many a time and knew exactly what to do in this kind of situation. I invited her into my wife’s car and struck up a conversation with her. She told me that the reason she was out on the streets at such an ungodly hour was that she was just going for a leisurely walk around her neighborhood when she lost her contact. I offered to purchase her a set of new contacts if she would let me give her a ride back home, seeing as it was late and the streets were a dangerous place for a beautiful lady such as herself to be. We had barely gotten a few miles before a set of flashing lights illuminated the windows and the familiar siren of a patrol vehicle pierced my eardrums. I was utterly bewildered as to why I was being pulled over but being a good citizen, I compliantly came to

The world is full of camera phones, different social media outlets, and the work of law enforcement is not hidden anymore, the general public can see the police officers performing their jobs. However, those officers quick to use gun or Taser lack the skills in de-escalation when dealing with a minor hostile situation. Nevertheless, the case of Bryan v. McPherson was related to a situation of officer Brian McPherson and motorist Carl Bryan, which Mr. Bryan was pulled over and issued a citation early that same day and headed to southern California from Camarillo to Coronado.…

Whilst working a shift in a residential home, I became acquainted with an elderly lady in her eighties. She had been a widow for many years and had no children. She was a very quiet, private person, who didn’t like showing her feelings, being made a fuss off or being hugged. She had lived in the home for about five years. The only visitor that Mrs B had was an elderly man, a friend of her husband. He would come and visit every Monday and have afternoon tea with her. They would reminisce and Mrs B looked forward to his visits. One Monday the elderly gentleman did not arrive and Mrs B thought it was unusual. The following day we had a message that the elderly man had been found dead at home. I was asked to tell Mrs B.…

On the fourteenth I was assigned to the traffic unit on the night shift. The officer assigned to this position is given a traffic unit police vehicle, which is equipped with more items then other patrol cars. Some of the things being spike strips, laser radars and other various items. When on traffic duty the primary focus is on speeders. We were stationed near I-96 and took radar for the remainder of the night. We cited over twenty vehicles and had some other intense moments. For one of the stops we pulled over a felon that had a firearm in the vehicle. At this moment, my heart was beating much quicker and the situation became much more serious. We radio into dispatch for a priority unit to back us up. We then arrested the individual and drove to the jail. Most of the night consisted on specifically traffic duty with a slight amount of citizen calls.…

I’d tumbled off the freight in the jungle by Deptford and found a fire and seven fellows around it, and they had stew – somebody’d got a rabbit and it was in a pail over the fire with some carrots. Ever eat that? It’s awful, but I wanted some, and after a lot of nastiness they said I could have some after they’d had what they wanted of me. My manhood just couldn’t stand it, and I left them. They laughed at me and said I’d be back when I got good and hungry. Then I met this woman, wandering by herself. I knew she was a town woman. Women tramps are very rare; too much sense, I guess. She was clean and looked like an angel to me, but I threatened her and asked her for money. She hadn’t any; then I grabbed her. She wasn’t much afraid and asked what I wanted. I told her in tramp’s language, and I could see she didn’t understand, but when I started to push her down and grab at her clothes she said, ‘Why are you so rough?’ and then I started to cry. She held my head to her breast and talked nicely to me, and I cried worse, but the strange thing is I still wanted her. As if only that would put me right, you see? That’s what I said to her. And do you know what she said? She said ‘You may if you promise not to be rough.’ So I did, and that was when you people came hunting her. When I look back now, it’s a wonder that it wasn’t all over with me that moment. But it wasn’t. No, it was glory come into my life. It was as if I had gone right into Hell…

I am sorry for condensing our lesson, consequently deteriorating your time. When I wasn’t listening I also wasn’t really thinking about it so it kind of caught me off guard when you said “our lesson is over,” but now that I think about what I did I feel kind of bad so I am writing this apology letter to you. Still, I am sorry about what I did and I hope that past times won’t get in the way of the future.…

The scene was one of cosy domesticity, a man and a woman sharing breakfast after a night out clubbing together. Married? Lovers? Boyfriend and girlfriend, or just a platonic relationship, it could have been any of the three, and the scene would have been mirrored in many homes across Rome. They were normal. Or at least, together, they contained a semblance of normality, which to Kyle, was almost as eerie a sensation as was the morning after his first murder to know that the woman across from him, the one who’d have reason to never trust another man, or allow one to touch her ever again, had entrusted him to hold her in his arms as she slept. And held no regrets for having done so, and not just that. She’d also revealed details to him of her life experiences that she doubted to spoken of with such earnestness and honesty to anyone before him, and he’d returned the favour without a second thought. With her eyes closed, and her soft breathing, and the faintest of snores, but no drooling, she’d appeared so serene and peaceful, and the Army veteran hoped that he’d been in same way responsible for the lack of nightmares.…

I wish to first share with you a story. Many years ago when I was working in Sacramento I had to make a trip for work to San Los Opisbo. The funeral was to be in the early afternoon so I could make the trip in one day. I got all my items together. I had maps and directions from map-quest. I knew my direction and I was going to make it there. I got there in no problem but noticed that I took me a little longer then I had planned. Once there service was over I got in the van that I was driving and looked over the map and saw that I just needed to drive on the road I was on and then turn near the town of Avenal and that would get me on I-5. I started out and began driving. After a while I noticed that I hadn't taken the right turn that I had planned on doing. I pulled over and saw that if I stayed on this road I could go into the town of Coalinga and then get I-5 again. But it was going to be more driving on this quite road. I said to myself well I will just have to go faster to make up the time. It felt like forever but I know it was not but I came up over a rise and saw the familiar outline of a highway patrol car. I pulled to the right of the road right as I passed him. His lights came on and over to me and came around behind me. He came over to my window where I had my drivers license and insurance waiting for him. He askeme where I was heading. After a long explanation he saw all my maps and told me that I was going to fast and that I needed to slow down. He let me off but said that if he ever caught me again He would “throw the book at me” –…

I have read your essay “Hip Hop Planet,” and the subject of this article is about teens being taken over by hip hop music. I understood the occasion because you had a nightmare when your daughter brought home a thug/rapper. A lot of your life you tried and ignored hip hop. Hip hop has spread out through all around the world. In 26 years you have come to embrace this style of music. Imagine living a life like this woman. Jane comes home to find a dozen roses on the table. John greets her with so much affection. With one hand around her waist, he fills his other with a fist full of her hair pulling her in an intense kiss. It seems he hasn 't seen her for quite awhile. He holds her passionately close as he whispers in her ear, "I could never live without you." If someone were watching from the window, they would never guess that last night the same two people had an argument about the way she folded his laundry. They probably wouldn 't notice the amount of makeup she used to make the black eye he gave her less noticeable. She can’t help but wonder what happened. What did she do to cause someone…

I can remember that very night when the inspector came to our home, inspector Goole. He seemed a bit curious at first and said we had killed this girl Eva Smith. I didn’t really recognise the girl or heard her name before. I was astonished to know farther had something to do with this. Inspector Goole then came over to me enquiringly as he thought I was involved. I looked at the photograph; I just noticed I knew this girl. I felt horrible knowing that this girl Eva Smith got fired from her job because of me. I didn’t realise at the time. Just because of that silly dress.…
