Parametric equations and Polar Coordinates
Plane Curves defined by parametric equations, Calculus with parametric curves, Arc length, Tangents, Areas, Length, Area of Surface of revolution, Polar coordinates, graphs in polar coordinates, Tangents, Areas and Lengths in Polar Coordinates.

Topics in Analytical Geometry
Introduction to the conic sections, Definition, graphs and reflection properties of parabola, ellipse and hyperbola, translation of coordinate axes.

Three-Dimensional Space; Vectors
Rectangular coordinates in 3-space, sphere, Vectors, Dot product, Cross product, Parametric equations of lines, Planes in 3-space, Cylinders and Quadric Surfaces. .
Vector-Valued Functions
Introduction to vector-valued functions, Calculus of vector valued functions, arc length, unit tangent and unit normal, curvature.

Partial Derivatives
Functions of two or more variables, level curves, limits and continuity, Partial derivatives, Tangent Planes and Linear Approximation, The chain rule, Directional derivatives and gradients, Maxima and minima of functions of two variables, Lagrange multipliers.

Multiple Integrals
Double integrals for rectangular and non rectangular regions, Triple integrals.

Assessment Scheme
Two Tests each of 20 marks during semester= 40 marks
