East Avenue Medical Center
The EAST AVENUE MEDICAL CENTER is a 600-bed, tertiary, general hospital under the Department of Health. It has the primary goal of providing quality medical care and treatment to patients irrespective of sex, socio-economic status and religious creed.
Designated by the DOH as a training and teaching center, the hospital provides appropriate training programs, materials and facilities that aim at providing its medical and non-medical staff with opportunities for professional development and competency-building. Thus, with its well-trained and competent professionals, the hospital has continued to achieve its primary goal- the delivery of quality health care services to its patients.

OBJECTIVE OF THE HOSPITAL
The EAST AVENUE MEDICAL CENTER, being a government
hospital under the Department of Health has for its goals the giving out of a high quality standard of medical care and treatment to the optimum number of the populace irrespective of their social, educational, economic and religious creed.
Likewise, having been designated as a training and teaching center under the DOH, it is availing its training materials/facilities to both the physicians and those in the allied professions to give them opportunity to develop their proficiencies in their respective lines of specialization. Thus, making them viable members of the national health care delivery team.
In general, the EAMC has the following objectives:

Patient Care – To care and treat all people suffering from various types of diseases regardless of age, race, creed, religion and belief and to take part in the prevention of diseases. It has been the aim of the hospital to give out a high quality standard of medical care and treatment to the optimum number of the populace coming from far and wide places of the country.
Education and Training (Manpower Development) – To train and educate medical and non-medical staff as well as non-medical students from other institutions in the field of medicine and the allied services. This is carried out by providing an integrated, comprehensive educational/development training programs for each discipline/category.
Research – To train, update and stimulate medical and non-medical staff in the field of research thus updating and contributing to the medical and non-medical information of the country.
