EARLY CELLS
Egg size:
Started at 6 (24 hours), 7.5 (48 hours), 8,4 (72 hours)
Hypothesis:
My hypothesis was that it would grow a little bit from it original size and smell really bad and it would be rubber.
Results:
They match, it smelled terrible and it grow a little bit.
Experiment notes-
First I put the egg on the vinager, the the egg started to float on the top
A few hours later it started to smell bad, and like the shell started to come away
And then it just all the shell break off and like the egg cooked with the vinager.

Observation: what happened on this lab is called osmosis.
1. How much did the egg change in size? (answer should be in centimeter)

It started at 6cm and ended in 8,5 cm
2. Was your hypothesis correct? Why or why not?
It was correct because in fact the egg absolutely change its size, and started to float on top, and basically what the egg did with the vinegar was cook inside. And grow, the shell get dissolve with the vinegar.

3. Evaluate the lab and data collected. What type of transport occurred in this lab? Explain your answer, including evidence from your experiment to support your explanation.
The bubbles where forming on the surface of the shell because of the vinager. Those be CO2. That lab was an example of cellular transport.
4. Consider how lettuce or spinach placed in water becomes firm and crisp. Use what you have learned about cell membranes to explain this observation.
When any type of plant cell is placed in water the cell wall expands to prevent cell membraneto collapse , because of the osmosis produce in this.
5. If you were to continue this experiment by removing the egg from the water and covering it in syrup, what do you think would happen. Explain your prediction. (If you choose to test your prediction, be sure to allow at least 24 hours before making your observations. And, of course, handle the egg very carefully!)

In order to complete this experiment, one of the most important things you need to know how to do is how to take the outer “shell” layer off of the egg. The egg shells contain an element known as calcium carbonate. This element can be turned into carbon dioxide when combined with acetic acid. You can find acetic acid in vinegar. {Guenther, Leanne. “Soft Shelled Eggs.” Kidzone Science, Kidzone Science, 1998, www.kidzone.ws/science/egg.htm.}…
