INTRODUCTION
Electricity is one of the basic needs of every individual especially in this “digital” era wherein technology has taken place. It is important in houses, streets, mini-stores up to big companies. With it, we enjoy lighting for our home, and heat and cooling to keep ourselves comfortable, and access to the countless appliances that make our lives better. By powering television and computers, it keeps us in touch with the outside world, and by powering alarms and security systems, it keeps our homes and our families safe. Without it, we’d literally be in the dark. And yet despite its importance, we often take our electrical wiring for granted. When properly installed, an electrical system will provide years of service, but wear and tear always take their toll, and problems still arise from time to time. However, it is everyone’s responsibility to make sure that it is properly installed to ensure the safety of everyone. Faulty wiring is one of the causes of fire which commonly occurred in Mangagoy, Bislig City where most of the students of University of Southeastern Philippines-Bislig Campus resides. Floor plan in house wiring serves as a guide for electrical installation process. It has the outlines of the wiring process and provides information about control panels and where all elements of the electrical system will be placed. This includes placement of the main panel, meter base and conductors, each of which must be wired with the appropriate voltage for the space. The wiring process is fairly time consuming and requires planning for the varying power needs of electronics and appliances. The floor plan of house wiring is an essential tool for beginning electricians. It has illustrations with information from wire color and the specifics on where each wire should end up upon completion of the project. Rules were set on installing these electric parts.
