It tells the Story about an 8th grader named Steven Alper and his crazy life after he found out his brother has leukemia a type of cancer and how they get thought it. The Main Character Steven is a drummer he loves to play the drums. He is 14 and he is in 8th grade Making it to High School All-City Band Concert. His Favorite Candy is tic tacs, He loves his brother a lot but dislikes his cancer. He hates Homework, Dull Pencils, Loves his mom and dad, Most of the time he worries because of his brother. Steven is a Frustrated,
Steven is going though a Wild ride during his brothers leukemia and is sad most of it.

To Start off with Steven is Frustrated most of the time because he’s ether worrying about Jeffery, School, Jazz Band, The “ ‘ rents”. Steven is Talking to Annette because he has had a really bad day and is about to yell at Annette because she disagrees. Because Steven is in the bad mood When the same day as Jeffrey Bad Nosebleed on October 7th in the bus. “ Ignore Her? I didn’t ignore her- I’m just too stupid to think of a comeback. And now I have to go home and find out what happened with my brother and how long I’ll be grounded for making breakfast.” Steven is feeling this feeling because he has all these things to process in his brain and can’t take it. He gets mad at Annette because she disagreeing with Steven. And he has become because he thinks that he’s going to get grounded for the dumbest thing he could think of.
