Drum Major Research Paper

There are many ways to define a drum major. A lot of the things I know about being a drum major are not things I was told as an expectation, but things that I was shown through the actions of these leaders. I've been told that a drum major is defined as one who leads the band into success, but I know that it’s a whole lot more than that. One should be approachable and knowledgeable, enthusiastic and serious, skilful and experienced. A drum major is someone who has independence but would never leave anyone behind.
